Shure MX418D/S 18 inch Supercardioid Gooseneck Microphone with Desktop Base and Preamp Reviews
Equip your desktop or podium with sheer Shure convenience! The MX418D/S is a handy gooseneck microphone with an 18"-long reach. The tight supercardioid pickup pattern helps it stay focused on the speaker's voice - and only the speaker's voice, so you won't have problems with it picking up a bunch of other instruments around the room or stage. The MX418D/S also sounds fantastic, thank to its wide frequency response for extreme accuracy and natural sound.

Shire MX418D/S 18 inch microphone!
Beautiful sounds I bought two of this microphone for my church! Love this product!
Awesome Mic
This is a great mic. We have a pulpit not ten feet from one of the house speakers and no feedback issues with real good pick up. A bargain for the price.
Excellent Desk Style Microphone
I have used this series microphone in Live Sound, Television and Church installations. The silent switch can be programed for temporary mute (cough switch), system on mute or on, standard on - off. This last installation was at the podium in a church. The LED provides the user with the on-off condition and is easy for the user to adjust the position of the microphone. Over all an excellent choice.
Shure desktop mike
This sure Pulpit mike is doing a great job. I would buy it again if needed.
Great sound, but poppy
This mic has great sound and decent feedback suppression. I got a gooseneck cause I do sound events where different sized people talk all the time. This mic is difficult to keep people from talking too close to and causing big plosives. You just can't train these humans how to talk on a mic! I'm considering putting a sign on the base that says keep mouth 2-3 inches away from mic. But it needs a better pop filter. I used the one that came with AND the extra insert, and it barely helped.
