Marshall Punch to Go!

Marshall's MX112 1 x 12" 80-watt cabinet is the perfect match to your DSL15 tube amp head, but it's also a great way to get real Marshall punch without tying yourself down to a massive cab. Made from MDF and loaded with a single Celestion Seventy 80 speaker, this portable cabinet gives you incredibly tight and punchy tone that's perfect onstage and in midsize venues. In addition to its time-tested Marshall tone, the MX112 comes finished in black with white piping, so you know what to expect from a single glance. Plug it in, crank it up, and tear it loose. This Marshall MX112 cabinet was born to rock!

Classic Greenback tone pushed to the limits

With its 12" Celestion Seventy 80 guitar speaker, the Marshall MX112 cabinet gives you modern British tone with gutsy midrange and plenty of top-end punch. Celestions are a staple of modern music. Starting in the 1960s, they helped define generations of guitar tone. The Seventy 80 takes the sound of Celestion's classic original G12M Greenback ceramic speaker to the max. Characterized by its hefty bottom end, aggressive mids, crisp highs, and robust volume handling, this speaker sounds great no matter what style of music you play. If you demand British speaker tone, then you're going to be glad you got your Marshall MX112 from Sweetwater!

Great cabinet!

I've owned multiple 4x12 cabinets and love the smaller size of the MX112! The cabinet sounds great with a good driving head!

Great Marshal Cab

Marshall sound in a smaller cab equals less hard lifting for guys who want to be portable for gigs and Studio work. For example, many times only one speaker is mic up in a live or even studio setting. Why Break your back to sound Great!

Nice Cabinet

This is a nice little cabinet for a variety of uses. Extension for an existing combo, stereo imaging, small cab for a small head like one of the many "lunch box" sized units that have become popular. It's light (33lbs) and small (20"x20"x12") enough that transport is not an issue even for a half-crippled old curmudgeon like me. Construction is high quality, although it is made of MDF and all that implies. Could be lighter and stronger if they'd use plywood. Sound is good - the stock speaker is emminently useable - although you could put any 12" speaker in it you'd like if it turned out a Celestion Seventy 80 didn't float your boat. It's aesthetically pleasing - I mean, Marshall styling is iconic. Everybody and their brother has had some of that gear on stage at some point. All in all, a pretty good piece of gear. I bought it to use with one of those handy little 100 watt Boss Katana heads, and it has worked out well. I'd recommend it. I'd have given it 5 stars, but that rating equates to "blown away" and that might be a bit hyperbolic for describing a passive 112 speaker bottom. Maybe if it was only $, I'd be "blown away"

Great for the price

This cabinet sounds great and matches perfectly with the DSL15H. Looks and feels high quality for the most part. Unfortunately, the input jack is plastic and didn't hold the cable in place securely on the one I received. I sent it back because I had a different cabinet I could use instead. If I didn't have another to use, I would have installed a better jack and kept it. It does sound great!
