Monitor Management and Talkback

Manage your monitors, compare multiple input sources, and communicate with your artists with the SPL MTC monitor and talkback controller. The all-analog design of the MTC gives you far better audio quality than making volume adjustments in the digital realm, like through your DAW for instance. And with a generous array of inputs and outputs, you'll be impressed at how much control you have from this compact desktop unit. If you take your monitoring quality seriously, you should check out what the SPL MTC can do for your control room.

SPL MTC Monitor and Talkback Controller at a Glance:
  • Analog volume control for full digital resolution at any volume
  • Flexible I/O options
  • A smart solution for space-challenged studios
Analog volume control for full digital resolution at any volume

Why is analog volume control so important? When you're turning down the volume in your DAW, or with the volume control on most audio interfaces, you're actually reducing the digital bit depth of your audio - reducing its dynamic range. When you control volume through an all-analog device like the SPL MTC, you hear the full dynamic range of your audio even at lower volume levels.

Flexible I/O options

With six input sources and support for three sets of stereo speakers, the SPL MTC gives you mixer-like functionality in a more convenient design. There are even unbalanced inputs for connecting consumer music players and similar devices, so you can check your mix against virtually anything.

A smart solution for space-challenged studios

Every studio needs a comprehensive monitoring system for maximum efficiency, and the SPL MTC is a smart solution for smaller control rooms and mixing suites. You get the functionality normally associated with larger consoles or rackmount units, in a convenient desktop format that keeps essential monitoring controls within reach.

SPL MTC Monitor and Talkback Controller Features:
  • Monitor management, input source selection, and talkback controller
  • Analog volume control won't reduce your audio quality like digital volume control
  • All-analog signal path
  • Talkback can be toggled on/off with a standard footswitch (sold separately)
  • Convenient desktop design puts all controls right where you need them
Maximize your monitoring capabilities with the SPL MTC!

everything I was looking for in an MTC

you don't really realize how much your gear colors your sound until you get this unit and hear what your audio converters and pre's really sound like! I love the musician control. no other unit at the time of purchase offered the separate CUE mix function that this offers so when doing vocals I track and monitor with this 100%. nothing in the signal chain except mic, pre, and converter. my only problem is the talk back. I really wish it did not have a separate Dim control as sometimes it seems it dims a bit too much. and I wish there was a stay on feature so I dont have to sit and push the button on and off like a walkie talkie when the band members are trying to have a conversation with whoever is tracking at the time. but I still do not regret this purchase at all.
