Flawless, Dependable Performance from these Mini Mics!

Twist 'em, hang 'em, slide 'em just about anywhere-you get great sound with the UNI-POINT SERIES, the world's biggest tiny microphones! The Uni-Point Series has a sterling reputation among musicians, broadcasters, and other audio professionals for delivering pure, clear sound amplification without being obtrusive or distracting. While musicians often use these small clip-ons for clean acoustic guitar pick-up, the applications of the Uni-Point Series go far beyond instrument miking. Television announcers, theater performers, lecturers and more use the Uni-Point mics for discrete, unmarred voice amplification. These provide the ultimate in high-intelligibility for public speakers and announcers, while the sturdy clip frees up your speaker's hands for a more expressive presentation. At Sweetwater you'll find the perfect Uni-Point mic for your next presentation!

The MT830c is a SUBMINIATURE Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone, which means it's so small it could almost be secret agent stuff - except for the 55" attached cable. The MT830c produces clean, clear sound, thanks to its wide range capabilities, and its small size makes it ideal for public address or stage and television performance.

Amazing Sub-Mini Omni Mic

I use these microphones for portable and on-location recording. This unbalanced, unterminated version (MT830C) can take DC power up to about 10 volts. I built a power supply using a 9V battery, a 1K Ohm resistor, and a 1 uF Mylar capacitor for each channel. The output works very well into a digital recorder with 2K Ohm input impedance. I used separate batteries to provide complete channel separation. Otherwise, I would get only about 22 dB of separation with a single battery. These mics have the flattest frequency response of any of the A-T lavalier mics, short of the newer BP896 series (at 3 times the price). Their sound quality is remarkably clean, clear, open, and full. I have been extremely satisfied with the compactness, sound, and performance of these little beauties. In my experience, they provide a price-performance ratio second to none.
