    The Best!

I've tried Martin Lifespan SP strings on several acoustic guitars, all different models. I like 'em, for tone, playability, longer life. I have one guitar (not mentioning the maker) that has been so awful on various brands of strings that I couldn't believe it; it's like the strings just die prematurely on that guitar. So, it's been sitting idle in its case. Today I took it out and played it. The strings didn't have a previous hour of play on them, yet sounded terrible. I put on a set of the Martin Lifespan SPs, and that ax sung! I'm not kidding; I was blown away! Best I've ever heard that guitar sound, new strings or broken in. I'm counting on them outliving and continuing to outsound other strings I've tried on this guitar. If they don't, it's not the strings. They've held up really well on my other acoustics.

    LIfespan over Acoustic SP

Love the Martin Lifespan SPs even better than the Acoustic Sps, which I didn't think would be possible.

    Unbeatable

I've tried Elixir's. They sound good, but you can't go a set without breaking a string.

I've tried D'addario EXP's. Sound decent, last a long time, but won't blow your doors off.

And now, I've tried these. The tone blows away Elixirs and EXP's. The only thing that remains to be seen is how long they hold up. Great clarity of tone and easy to play. For the short time I've played them, I've already recommended them to other guitar players.

    Lifespan Strings

I'm on the third day of playing with Lifespan strings, and the guitar has found a new life. Strung for free at Wintergrass in Bellevue Washington, I've decided to use these on all of my instruments.

Sorry Martin, Elixir has you beat

I've owned a Taylor 314CE for almost a year now, and after going through several sets of Elixir Nanowebs, I thought I'd try some of the other coated strings. So I put these on, and the first thing I notice is the finger noise, or whatevever you call it, even while doing basic chord changes. I gave a friend of mine a headache who was messing with the sound in Garageband. So, ok. maybe that will go away in a couple of days...Nope. The tone was ok, and then...it disappears on me. Sounded like a worn out set of $5 strings after about a week. So the Martins came off, the Elixirs went back on, and I'm back in business. My friend said it best - the way you play does not change overnight, but your tone and sound did...for the worse. Enough said.
