Great Reverb

By Scott Stoens from Spiro, OK on December 18, 2023

I have used the MX300 Live for a long time and love it. I've had this plugin as a demo, and it has sounded better than others I own. I upgraded it as a bundle and am pleased with the results that I've gotten, a person can't go wrong even if this is your sole reverb, it covers everything.

More 'Tweekability " than I Thought

By Jamie on January 2, 2021 Music Background: Classical musician who had been doing location recordings for 25 years

Although the less expensive of the Lexicon reverb plugins, I am pleasantly surprised at how much control I have over the parameters. I think for most applications it gives enough tweekability and it doesn't overwhelm the user. Being a cellist, I first recorded myself in a dry, treated room and the MPX sounded fabulous. I enjoyed the varied large hall spaces the MPX emulates. It was hard to decide which I liked the best. I also pulled out an older recording of a pipe organ I did in a dry space years ago and again, very nice indeed. The "reflection" parameter really shined here with the ability to control the discrete echoes that are very noticeable on long reverb tails in cathedral spaces - very realistic sounding. One aspect I appreciate is the integration of the dry and wet sounds; it is cohesive without competition between the two. As a result, I didn't have to play with the settings endlessly to get a natural sound. In fact, after some experimenting it wasn't long before I was able to dial in settings rather quickly. It's fun, easy to use, and it sounds great.

It's Definitely LEXICON!

By Rick Mendyka Sr from Gillette, Wyoming on August 3, 2014 Music Background: Recording Engineer, Producer, Multi-Instrument Musician

Every bit as much a Lexicon unit as I used live years ago. Except now in plugin form for critical use in the studio. I am completely pleased with the MPX Native Plugin Bundle of Lexicon reverbs! Not as many "pre-sets" as the pricier bundles, but I set my own reverb sound as a rule, and I can't imagine a better reverb. Not to say that the presets aren't useful as starting points though. There's enough reverb base units here to fill pretty much any requirements you have for matchless reverb. I have worked with the PCM Lexicon bundle too and in my opinion, you're just getting more presets for the extra dough, along with a slightly different reverb interface to get the same sound. If you're wondering if this is true Lexicon quality sound; wonder no more... The Lexicon MPX Native Reverb Bundle is every bit astounding.

Reminds me of my MPX500 verbs

By Ryan Burchett from Battle Ground, WA on March 31, 2022

I own an MPX500 processor and have enjoyed it for roughly twenty years. Have to say that I was definitely excited to learn that there was a plugin that could do the job for reverb. I wish the other effects were also available. But, you can't beat these reverbs for the price I paid.

My one complaint is the iLok device I was forced to purchase. I have iLok on my PC and know it is a necessary evil. But, can't stand the fact I had to buy something else from that company.

Does what I need

Great deal!

By SrC from NYC on December 2, 2018

This is a powerful reverb unit, just like using a real Lexicon in the studio. There are tons of presets, and all adjustments you can possibly need. I started off using the "lite" version that comes part of Presonus' Studio Magic package, but for the cyber week deal, the upgrade was a no brainer. You need iLok 2, so good thing I still had mine from my old PT license.

Simple and easy to use.

By Ian from Michigan on March 1, 2016

Really easy to use and not so cpu intensive as some reverbs.
Nice sounding on just about anything.

MPX Reverb is solid and versatile

By DennisNV from Lake Tahoe area on July 3, 2015 Music Background: Composer, musician; keyboards and guitar

With all the chatter about the "legendary" quality and lushness of Lexicon reverb I couldn't resist buying this when it was on sale. I am not disappointed; this plug-in really delivers at a great price. It provides control over virtually every facet of the reverb; producing authentic recreations of real world spaces while allowing access far into the realm of the unreal. What I really find amazing is when the settings are trimmed just right the reverbs will start tripping over themselves just like what happens in the real world. The presets are well organized, covering a wide range of plates and spaces, and once you are in the ball park the tweaking is easy and straight forward. The latency is almost non-existent on my Windows 8 setup and I have had zero issues with either REAPER or Pro Tools. The only knock I have, and it's a small one, is that the signal gets choked a wee bit when the plug-in is "edged" but that probably goes away with Lexicon's more expensive offerings if that's a concern.

This thing sounds greaT!

By Jimi Layne from Birmingham, Alabama on January 25, 2015 Music Background: Recording Engineer

I bought it when the price dropped and OMG! For the money this is the best plugin I bought all year! Rich Very Rich sounding Verb! I do have the Uad 224 and its equally as good, when I run out of DSP on the UAD card I can go the Lexicon MPX and it matches up well in the session. I just couldn't believe it at this price point! Do not be afraid to spend the money on this plugin because it does what they say it does and much, much more!

Holy reverb

By Allan on December 26, 2014

Stepped up from Pro Tools stock reverb to this, like night and day. Sounds great. Easy to pick an effect and modify it to taste. Lexicon plugins sound pretty much exactly like their physical rack gear.

As classic as classic can be

Love love love it. Makes me feel like I'm back on the analog studios from the 80s. Sweet, smooth presets.

Simple Yet Tweakable Lexicon

By Rick Rockz from Betwyn, IL on September 1, 2023 Music Background: Pro Studio Owner

I bought this reverb plugin awhile back ago. It's not my "go-to" reverb (that's IK Multimedia's Sunset Sound Reverb), but I always pull this up when I need something simple and different for basic needs. I actually bought Lexicon's next higher end LXP Bundle first, but I like the MXP better because all the types of plugins are under a single "one-stop shop" interface, whereas the LXP set is 4 separate plugins (Chamber/Hall/Plate/Room), making it pretty tedious to compare them, so I rarely use them.

Lexicon MPX PLUGIN

By Sweetwater Customer on December 23, 2016

Although I do have other reverb options including Roland, Waves, Sony, Eventide and Steinburg, Lexicon is something I wanted in my options.
Love it!!

Great verb

By CB from Texas on May 25, 2015

Great verb, classic Lexicon sound, simple like it should be. If you're looking for a verb with endless flexibility and control this isn't the one. If you want that Lexicon sound with a good range of options and want to set it and go, then you'll like this plug in.

Simple, nice reverb

By Maarten on July 2, 2013 Music Background: Classical Pro Musician, Classical Recording Engineer

Everyone knows the Lexicon sound, and this MPX plugin doesn't disappoint. I use this reverb for a clean, uncolored reverb next to Altiverb. Nice, simple, easy to use, clean reverb.

Great ease of use, tweakable, the Lexicon sound, nice presets...Some unwanted low frequency response .... Overall a great piece of gear for a great price... Last but not least, the great experience that goes with dealing with Sweetwater.... Thanks... Gman....

Lexicon MPX

By Dick Kloosterman from France on May 24, 2013 Music Background: Hobbyist

Beautiful interface. The Lexicon quality and sound. Not so much parameters as the more expansive ones form Lexicon, but for me sufficient possiblities. I am very satisfied!

A good sounding inexpensive start

Lexicon is well known for its great sounding verbs and this plugin does the job. Has some really nice presets, one click and your there.
