Sweetwater Advice

The Multi Platinum series is a must-have for any Pro Tools engineer. I'm always looking to add new skills to my skill-set and speed up my workflow. These DVDs are packed with time-tested concepts that only seasoned engineers can provide. When else will you have the chance to sit down with an engineer of this caliber for hours at a time and just learn?! For the cost, you can't beat the education. It's got me comping and tuning at the pace of a pro. It's almost as if I had worked on 'N Sync myself!!!

Get it!!! If you use Pro Tools you will definately use these techniques!!!

Paying for the entire set, is so little compared to the wealth of info that is presented here. All of the vidoes build on the expectation that you have a novice understanding of Pro Tools. If you don't, use groovebox, and then buy these. The next level after basic use of the DAW, directly explains these DVD's best.

    Simply Amazing!

I bought the vocal editing DVD and couldn't wait to hear the track editing DVD. I ordered it but couldn't wait so I borrowed a copy from my friend and have already watched it through twice. There is so much great information in here I don't even know where to begin. I've been editing on Pro Tools since PT 2 and I learned so much by watching this. Highly recommended for anyone who plans to edit professionally or even just for a hobby. I hope you carry future products by these guys.

    Should be called 'Pocketing'

This is a good video, but about 90% of it is about pocketing the tracks. You will learn a few neat tricks and shortcuts, but the beginning and the end were the most helpful for me. Once you know his process, which you will get very early on, you will start to get bored with, cut, move, TCE, crossfade. I think its worth a watch, but I was hoping for a little more in-depth.

Make sure you did your homework

I found that he speed thru so much material quickly.I was lost several times within the video. I stopped after every sentence to see what he was doing. This was a very advanced course. I suggest that he put a command box in the video to help follow along. There is a lot of useful thing to learn on the dvd. This is not for beginners.
