Akai Professional MPD232 Pad Controller with Step Sequencing Reviews
Akai brought three extremely useful tools together when they created the MPD232, which delivers the performance of a pad controller, the hands-on manipulation of a control surface, and the easy programming of a classic step sequencer. It all starts off with 16 fat and plush MPC pads with RGB backlighting you can use for visual feedback and color coding. These pads come with classic functions you'll probably recognize from other Akai gear such as Note Repeat and multiple level controls. The control surface part of the MPD232 includes a set of eight sliders, each of which is accompanied by a D-Link button and a D-Link encoder, and you can freely assign all of these controls as you like. Finally, there's the onboard step sequencer, which is great for working with hardware or software. And speaking of software, you really can't complain about the bundle that comes with your MPD232.

Perfect for me
Akai has brought me back as a customer with this one. I saw the new line, saw the seq., digital read out and knew it was the one. Perfect lap toy. So worth the money especially with the killer software package going on now.
One word for the pads lush...and they are super sensitve and quick. My favs ever.
This exact set-up with the MPC Essentials software & Hardware 232 is completely going to work for my set up. I actually use this not for hip hop but Djenty Metal & atmospheric stuff but this is able to run any plug-in inside the software. Love it, I can't wait to dig in more. The Vegas add-on pack is sweet btw!
THANK YOU PATRICK! x1319
as expected
Does exactley what you would expect from a mpd midi. The new pads are among if not the best of any Akai equipment i own.
