You Can Camera-mount This Pro Sennheiser Shotgun Mic!

The Sennheiser MKE 600 supercardioid short shotgun mic is your ticket to great professional production sound, with amazing ease-of-use. Sennheiser's short shotguns have been fixtures on location and soundstages worldwide for decades, and they know a thing or two about production audio. The MKE 600's diminutive size lets you boom or camera mount, as the shot dictates. Get into tight spaces on the set, and if a shot (or an entire production) calls for a camera-mounted mic, you can still capture the same world-class audio - with the Sennheiser MKE 600.

Sennheiser MKE 600 Supercardioid Short Shotgun Mic at a Glance:
  • Petite size is perfect for camera-mounting as well as booming
  • Off-axis sound is attenuated without colorations
  • Exceptionally low inherent self-noise gives you crystal-clear production audio
Petite size is perfect for camera-mounting as well as booming

Due to its short size, the Sennheiser MKE 600 has the agility to get into tight production spaces and capture first-class pro audio. Boomed or camera-mounted, the MKE 600 will become your versatile goto production mic.

Off-axis sound is attenuated without colorations

Sennheiser MKE 600 effectively attenuates off-axis sound without coloring your audio. Even after the director calls "Action," production sets are noisy affairs - especially on location. Unless you're Spielberg and can suspend air traffic for a shot, as a production mixer, you've got a fair amount of ambient environmental noise to contend with. Once you record with the MKE 600, you'll have a new best friend.

Exceptionally low inherent self-noise gives you crystal clear production audio

Ultra clean dialog - that's what you'll get with the Sennheiser MKE 600. Sennheiser short shotguns are an industry standard for a reason - and they just keep getting better! The MKE 600 serves up crystal-clear dialog, sound effects, ADR, Foley - whatever you're capturing, you couldn't make a better short shotgun mic choice than the Sennheiser MKE 600.

Sennheiser MKE 600 Supercardioid Short Shotgun Mic Features:
  • Pronounced directivity

  • Switchable Low Cut filter minimizes wind noise
  • Battery switch with "Low Batt" indicator
  • Rugged all-metal housing
  • Very good suppression of structure-borne noise
  • Supplied with foam windshield and shock mount
  • Requires +48V phantom power or battery power
The Sennheiser MKE 600 a great choice for production audio

Superior Mic within a budget

I have been renting the Sennheiser ME66/K6 for the last 12 years for weddings and events. Finally, I bought the MKE-600 which is excellent quality, lightweight and crystal clear sound. It meets and exceeds my expectation. Thanks to my Sales Engineer, Jay Fredrick who shared his years of experience in the field of video and audio production and recommending this great shotgun mic.

MKE 600 for Film

This is a great sounding microphone. I have been using this mic now for about 6 months now and I have to say, "it really does a great Job". Before my purchase I listened to several shotgun mics and came to the conclusion that this was the best sounding to my eras, regardless the price. It has a nice full sound as other mics were noisey and thin. If you are looking for a nice mic to capture dialog, I would really go with this one. For the price, i don't think it gets better!

Most Impressed

I am pleasantly surprised by the MKE 600's ability to control sound quality in an amateur sound proofed roof. I needed a Shot gun Mic to record for film, but mostly in poorly sound proofed settings. Suffice it to say it has held it's own. Well done Sennheiser

Great Mic for The Price

Good solid Sennheiser product with decent sound, just what I needed to replace an old broken, too many times repaired 25 year old Sennheiser ME80

Short shotgun mic for DSLR greatly improves audio

The DSLR cameras do not capture great audio, but adding the Sennheiser MKE 600 short shotgun mic allows me to capture audio at weddings that is more than adequate. I was surprised how good the quality was. I captured audio several different ways, but I didn't need to substitute the other audio for my DSLR and worry about synching because the audio thru the shotgun mic was good enough.
Music background: Not musical, but I need to capture audio at events like weddings
