I am a keyboard player and am starting to prefer software synthesis over hardware because it scales a little better. I run a beefy Ableton Live rig, along with several VSTs (i.e. Omnisphere, 8DIO products, Native Instruments libraries, etc.). Recently, I performed at a large conference and these Pro Co midi cables lined our stage. I am a loyal Pro Co cable user. From audio to data, these cables outshine the competition. Don't overpay for Monster. I have never had connectivity issues or shorts when using these, and Sweetwater offers a Lifetime warranty on these which means I won't have to fork out more money for a replacement if one of our road cases snags these guys and severs it. I own many Pro Co audio and midi cables.
These cables are rugged, sport a thicker gauge that most other midi cables and do not drop data. They are shielded and limit interference perfectly.
