Great Pre-amp!

This works great and it's easy to use. I bought it for my new Yamaha YEV-104 electric violin.

Great way to mic up cheap.

I do mainly recordings of guitar and my vocals so I bought a Tube Mic100 and a TubeMic200. Essentially similar pre-amps with the exception of some fine adjustments that the Mic200 gives you over the Mic100. I love them both. I use the 200 for vocals so far, but I am curious to see how the fine adjustments affect the acoustic guitar tone as well. Crisp clean and an infinitesimally small noise factor give this piece of gear a huge advantage over just plugging in to the mixer without the pre. I wish there was an on/off switch and I may just have to rig one but other than that, for the price of these, they are well worth the money if you want a recording to sound clean and clear. They can help make the difference between a song you want to listen to and one that sounds like you really did do that in your basement. Not so good.

Good value pre-amp

This unit does a nice job of warming up the output from a condenser mic and an internal acoustic guitar pickup. The multiple settings are nice. The only drawback is the lack of a power switch which means you have to plug / unplug power for each use.

Great Preamp!

Great preamp to do some basic stuff with! I like the voicing options this preamp presents, including a "neutral" option and the option to bypass the tube altogether. The limiter kicks in a little slow though, but I feel like you are getting a great deal for what you pay.

Great Pre amp for the money

Nice little unit. I put it in line with my Line 6 Pod XT and it give the amps that little extra warmth. For the price it's a bargain!!!!!!!
