Simple panel layout for easy tweaks

The MG101CFX features a tried-and-true panel layout that's amazingly easy to use. Gain, 3-band EQ, volume, and master volume are laid out for quick access. Push-button channel switching allows for smooth, uninterrupted transitions. Combining true analog tone circuitry and Marshall's proprietary FDD (Frequency Dependent Damping) technology, these amps provide that authentic Marshall sound and feel. This damping technology emulates the dynamic interaction between an amp and its speaker, giving you feel and tone characteristics you'd normally only find in far more expensive tube amps. The combination line-out/headphone-out features speaker-cabinet emulation, giving you full Marshall sound when recording or practicing through combophones. A line input allows you to play along with MP3 and CD players.

Killer tones

You have a choice of four different channels in the Marshall MG101CFX. You can choose from clean, crunch, OD 1, and the high-gain OD 2. These four programmable channels give you a huge tonal range, from pretty and clean to mean and scream. Mix them with the speaker-damping function and digital effects to create the killer tone rigs you have always wanted. The new silver faceplate and carbon-fiber-looking vinyl give the MG101CFX a definite rock 'n roll attitude.

Take advantage of incredible effects

This amp includes great-sounding reverb and digital effects (chorus, phaser, flanger, delay, octave+, and reverse delay). In fact, you can use up to three effects simultaneously. The delay time can be manually set by using the front-panel TAP button. Settings for each channel can be customized and saved for instant recall. In addition, the MG101CFX features a switchable effects loop for adding a favorite external effect to the sound. This model also includes a 2-button footswitch as standard equipment.

From the music store to stages everywhere

Jim Marshall didn't start out building great amps. In fact, his entry into the amp world came about in part because the drummers that visited his music shop for equipment and lessons often brought along their guitar players. Conversations about their amplification needs led to the birth of a line of amps that would eventually change the sound of music. From those first humble creations to Pete Townshend's first monster full stacks, from the mid-'60s combos to Hendrix to backlines of multiple Marshall rigs, one thing has remained constant: Marshall's commitment to the best tone and performance possible.

Amp, Man, Wow!

Let me start out,,,,,( Wow man! Dig this amp! Did you know Marshalls' are Hand made in England! Not that sell out corporate made in China GREED! This amp is a solidstate that is truely heavy musical gear, man! Yes it is a solidstate; however, when playing this amp it sounds so great and it is a Pro amp! 100 watts 1 x 12" speaker 4 storable channels Digital effects and digital reverb Line-in for MP3 and other music players Headphone-out/line-out with speaker emulation External effects loop Power-amp damping 2-button footswitch included Great reveb, and a watz watz of raw power. for the non pros remember never use too much middle. Too much middle will make the sound too muddy. it should me no more than ste at 3 or 4. The Tone, bass, overdrive, revervb at 6 to 7. or you can lower it to 3 for metal That is that Reverb. What I am saying is play with is and it has it all. This was my first Marshal amp I owned and what a great price$ Great Price $Price. I now own a Marshall Tube and they last most likely longer than you. This is the Gibson of Amps.than you. I had the Marshall MG 101CFX100W 1x12' Owned the 15c DSL. Now the 40 W

Marshall MG101CFX

The flagship Marshall amp is currently the JVM410H which is a 100 watt tube head amp with 4 channels---clean, crunch, overdrive-1, and overdrive 2, with each channel having a 3-band EQ and reverb. The Marshall MG101CFX is a 100 watt solid-state combo amp with similar features. This solid-state amp produces excellent Marshall sound with intuitive controls similar to other premium Marshall amps. This solid-state combo amp includes a 12-inch speaker AND can do double duty by acting as a head amp by unplugging the internal speaker from the rear panel and plugging in a Marshall external enclosure such as a 1960A/B cabinet. The MG101CFX is an excellent practice amp with the ability to be a main head amp for performance or a backup head amp. The JVM410H adds three modes (green, amber, and red) for each channel which is the major improvement over the MG101CFX in addition to tube technology. Although the MG101CFX's price is a bit more than competing vendor models, the Marshall sound and quality makes this amp a "must have" piece of gear and nobody does better than Sweetwater on sales, delivery, and support.
