Player/ Teacher

I buy these strings at a big savings, and put them on my own instruments, plus my student's guitars. I have a Fender Ash Burl that I use for lessons. It seems to sound great. I find with using the cheaper strings, I can afford to change them quite often. They're even passable on my D-28 when I'm in a pinch. Great string for the price!

Martin m140 bronze lights

I like the coated strings but also like the traditional guitar strings like these, however no guitar string sounds good on ever guitar. Having said that these strings sound great on my twenty six year old D28. Price is really good to.

Very Disappointed

I was excited to get the Martin M-140 80/20 delivered after purchasing them online with Sweetwater and couldn't believe how bad they sound on my entry-level Fender acoustic guitar. They are very twangy sounding, especially the lower strings. It might be that I'm just learning to play and the guitar I'm using is a starter, but the sound from these strings is not for me. I am replacing the Martins with DR Strings as I prefer the DR strings tone on my guitar. The Martin 80/20's might work for you, but it was a big disappointment for me.
