Great strings

I have been using these for years and I love them. I have used some other strings including the ernie ball slinky strings which I love for electric guitars, but on my acoustic they sound too bright. I get a great balance with the martin strings. I can say that as another reviewer stated the martin strings are rougher on your fingers, but if you keep playing through the pain and stick with them it will get easier once your fingers get calluses. There are all kinds of strings out there and I would recommend these but everybody is different. The best way to find strings you like is to try different strings.

I bought these to put on my Martin dreadnought acoustic thinking they would be the perfect match and, frankly, I was very disappointed. They're harsh on the fingers, very tinny sounding and make a super-loud whistling sound when you run your fingers up and down them. The balance between the strings is bad too - the low strings are far louder than the high ones. All in all, just not good. After a week of being mildly irritated with them I swapped them out for a set of Ernie Ball super slinkies and now I'm happy - I feel like I just got my favourite guitar back!
Music background: I play for fun

M1100 Martin Light Acoustic Guitar Strings

Great Guitar strings to burn up in practice, use during Song Writing, overall daily use. Saves money versus other more espensive strings while not performing. I buy mine in bulk which saves even more money. I think they're great. My Students use them also.
