Thicken Up Your Tone!

If you're looking for a way to thicken up your tone without adding the weird warbling effect you get with a chorus or a flanger, then you've got to check out the DigiTech Luxe. The Luxe is a brilliantly simple unison pedal that lets you blend a slightly detuned version of the input with the dry signal to create a constant thickening sound similar to the studio technique of double tracking. When we checked this effect out at Sweetwater, we were absolutely blown away by what it could do all manner of guitar tones, from dry to heavily distorted. What's particularly impressive is how the same effect can make both overdriven harmonics and bass guitar sound so much fatter. We're sure you're going to be just as thrilled by the DigiTech Luxe detune effects pedal as we are.

DigiTech Luxe Unison Detuning Guitar/Bass Effects Pedal Features:
  • An amazing detuning/unison effects pedal that sounds great on guitar and bass
  • Detune control provides polyphonic pitch shifting from -50 cents to +50cents (1 half-step range)
  • Level control lets you blend in as much detuned signal with your dry signal as you like
  • Effect resembles rich chorus, without the modulation or phasey sound
  • True-bypass switching preserves your tone when the pedal is not in use
Add body to your tone with the DigiTech Luxe polyphonic detuner!

Fattens Your Tone

If you like the chorus or flange sound, but don't care for the modulated sweep, this is the pedal for you. I have been using it to fatten my tone just a bit and it works perfectly for that by adding in a detuned signal with your clean signal. It works very sweet with a delay, too. It's possible to achieve some really outside tones by cranking the detune knob to the extreme + or - 50 cents level. For me, it's the subtle detune signal that sounds the best though. I run it after my overdrive pedal and it handles the overdriven signal perfectly, without any strange tonal artifacts. I highly recommend it if you want to fatten your sound.

Fantastic Pedal! Finally!!

Just like my title says, the DigiTech Luxe is a really fantastic pedal! It's sounds like a great sounding Chorus pedal but it's not a Chorus pedal. DigiTech calling it the "anti-chorus" pedal is an accurate description of what this pedal is. I like using chorus with my Overdrive/Distortion tones but most of the time I feel that it's overpowering because of the modulation and the result is just muddying the otherwise articulate distorted tones that I get from my setup. I'm aware that this effect was taken from the DigiTech Whammy's Detune feature and I'm glad they made it as a stand-alone unit now which is the pedal I've been waiting for for years and here it is! It thickens the tone without the overpowering modulation on chorus pedals. There's not really a setting on this pedal that I don't like. The effect gets intense as you dial the Detune knob clockwise and the Level knob controls how much of the effect you mix in with your original tone from subtle to totally wet. To describe it in my personal opinion, it's like the best chorus pedal you've heard that is not a chorus pedal. The DigiTech Luxe is a great sounding high quality pedal that is built to last! It features true bypass switching as well and the great looking graphics makes it look like a handmade boutique stompbox. DigiTech has been releasing some outstanding pedals lately that gives boutique effects builder a run for their money. Love this pedal and it's not leaving my pedalboard! Got it here at Sweetwater which has the best deals and THE BEST customer service in the business! Shipping is always FREE and FAST!

Love it!

As advertised . It's an anti chorus. Everything you love about having a chorus on your board without the parts you don't like. Takes distortion well and can really fatten things up at lower settings. And when you need a more chorsey sound just crank it up a little. Try it: you'll like it!

Sounds Great

This box sounds great. I use it on acoustic for pop and P&Worship. Awesome on elec for faking dbl tracking, (or some leslie and 12 sting-ish things). I bet it might be cool on fretless bass too. It is a clean chorus without the modulation movement. Needs included AC adapter, no battery.
