Active preamp gives you a 12dB boost

The double-cutaway design gives you plenty of access across the fretboard to put the two DiMarzio passive humbuckers that come stocked in the Ernie Ball Music Man Luke III to work. It's easy to breathe life into your playing with these two passive pickups, but the Ernie Ball Music Man Luke III gives you even more control with its Ernie Ball Music Man active preamp. From ear-splitting leads to cream-covered rhythms, these DiMarzio pickups deliver. And with a 12dB boost when you need it, complete tonal control is within your reach.

Incomparable roasted maple neck

The roasted maple neck of the Ernie Ball Music Man Luke III HH features 22 frets, a 25.5" scale, and a 12" neck radius. The gunstock oil and hand-rubbed wax finish is unlike any other neck you'll play. There's no stickiness to slow you down, and the natural woodiness makes the instrument feel like an extension of your hand. Along with the double-cutaway body style, the overall fluidity of the neck is extraordinary in all regards.

Floating tremolo and Schaller locking tuners for perfect pitch

With the Ernie Ball Music Man floating vintage tremolo, you'll get in tune and stay there. The Ernie Ball Music Man Luke III vintage tremolo is constructed of chrome-plated hardened steel with bent steel saddles. The headstock is adorned with Schaller M6 locking tuners that make string changes a cinch. Just insert the string, tighten the clamp screw, and tune it up to pitch. Strings won't be wound around the shaft, so your tuning will be reliable no matter how hard you play.

Better yet

I recently purchased this baby in black with the roasted neck. I already had one in Bali blue burst flame in the hss version with rosewood neck. They compliment each other exceptionally. I was blown away by the feel and response from the HH model . As usual E. has done it again. Also the guy's at Sweetwater are the tops. They really care about you as a customer, not just another number. m totally satisfied with this axe. Make no mistake, this is a very function, elegant piece of wooden ecstasy. BUY ONE. try it..if you don't like it . Then you have found the center of the universe and there is no way

Jus Great

The guitar is incredible well made. Stays in tune no matter what you throw at it, best performance ive ever had with a floating trem. The sustain is surreal. The neck is incredibly smooth and the frets are so light on your fingers. I have smalls hands and this neck fits me like a glove. I play faster and longer with it.The single coil options are pretty good for a guitar with two Humbuckers, very versatile. The only thing that it's not perfect is the switch blade that in my case seems a bit sticky in between positions, but it might be my specific model. Not a deal breaker in the least, i just got used to it.Im an extremely happy owner of this guitar and if you are serious about your hobby or career you should definitely give this model a try.

Music Man Luke III

I've always been interested in Music Man guitars but never got my hands on one until Sweetwater ran a great financing offer. So I took advantage of it. This guitar is everything I expected and more. The neck is very smooth and fast. The vibrato lets me do everything I can do with a locking vibrato without going out of tune (trust me, I've treated this vibrato like a Floyd Rose and it won't go out of tune). The pickups are very responsive. The volume pot has a 12db boost push/pull feature which is very noticable if playing clean but add some gain and it sings. Guitar comes with a nice (SKB style) case and is form fitting to the guitar. No need to remove the vibrato arm since they designed the case to hold the guitar with the arm attached. This guitar was worth every dollar I paid for it. As for the service, if you are a Sweetwater customer then you know their customer service is wonderful. If you are looking to purchase any gear from Sweetwater, I recommend calling ext. 1356 and talk to Dennis Kinicki. He knows his stuff and has gone out of his way to do what he can to make me happy many times.
