From Classic Synth Sounds to Out-of-this-world Effects

Spend some time with the D16 Group LuSH-101 virtual synthesizer plug-in, and you'll find its a powerful one-size-fits-all synth. It's easy to dial in all manners of bass, lead, and percussion sounds, but LuSH-101 really comes into its own when you start creating layered sounds. The multi-layered architecture lets you assign each layer its own polyphony, arpeggiator, and insert effects. It's easy to re-create classic synth patches, but factor in the advanced modulation and layering options, and you'll see the D16 Group LuSH-101 virtual synth plug-in is a unique beast.

D16 Group LuSH-101 Virtual Synthesizer Plug-in at a Glance:
  • Classic subtractive synthesis - on steroids
  • Powerful layering options
  • Let's talk presets - they're not just for complete sounds
Classic subtractive synthesis - on steroids

The basis of D16 Group's LuSH-101 is subtractive synthesis, with controls laid out in an intuitive fashion. While the choice of saw, PWM, and noise oscillators may seem sparse, you've got five different sub-oscillator types to add incredible depth to your sound. The filters sound fantastic, with no aliasing and the ability to self-oscillate. And with up to eight detuned voices in unison mode, it's easy to go from one basic oscillator to a monster lead synth sound fast.

Powerful layering options

While you can create a single huge sound with the LuSH-101, the universe opens up when you start creating layers. You can create up to eight simultaneous layers and play them simultaneously, assign them to different zones on your controller, or set them to separate MIDI channels to make LuSH-101 an eight-part multi-timbral synth. The best part is that each layer can have its own polyphony, parameter settings, arpeggiator, and insert effects, giving you unlimited sound-designing potential.

Let's talk presets - they're not just for complete sounds

Sure, LuSH-101 comes with over 1,600 presets covering leads, bass, percussion, and just about anything else you'd expect from a versatile synth. But the really cool thing about LuSH-101 is that you can create your own presets for individual modules, like the arpeggiator or the mixer's send effects. So if you're designing a sound from scratch, and have a favorite arpeggiated sequence or modulation envelope that you know you want to use with it, all you have to do is pull up the preset for that specific module. It lets you "borrow" your favorite elements from one patch, and apply them to an entirely new sound.

D16 Group LuSH-101 Virtual Synthesizer Plug-in Features:

Oh yeah, You need this one!

Super emulation of the Roland SH 101, and so much more. Layers, Splits and effects too. This synth will definitely fool some people. Super easy to get around. Great learning synth too if you are just getting into synthesis. You will love it!
Music background: Hobbyist, Composer

Love this synth. I've used it on Mac and Pc, and it performs well on both. You could potentially do an entire song On just one instance of the synth given the layers and how each layer can have its own separate keyZone and arp.
