I became interested in 65 amps after playing a friend's London. I loved how responsive it was to my guitar volume knob and attack but I wanted an amp that had two channels as I don't use many pedals (I have only been playing 3-4 years and am trying to keep it simple). In walked the Lil whiskey! The clean channel has gorgeous cleans at all volumes, and it can get loud! The dirty channel goes from nice breakup to great saturation as you dial up the gain. The clean/bright switch really adds punch with the bright switch on especially with humbuckers. Bright knob a little harsh with my tele on bridge pickup but makes the neck pickup sing. Amazing touch response and the master volume and clean volume allow you to keep tone at very low volumes. This amp is plenty loud however for gigging, playing in a 4 piece in small venues as a rhythm guitar I haven't gotten clean or master over 6. Amp is everything I wanted, I have had for almost a year and am extremely happy. Everyone who has played through it loves it.
