    Excellence in acustics

This is by far the best sounding guitar I have ever played and I've played a lot . It's crisp , clear and easy to hold or wear standing up . You can easily reach every fret on the board . Great tone , love the built in tuner it's dead on the money , Its even sounding better than the old Martin guitar . I have a friend that just bought a Dean thin body , he said he wished he had seen this deal first .

I'm so happy with this guitar. The action is just what I hoped: low enough not to have to squeeze so hard on barre chords, but not too low. The sound is rich and full unplugged, and plugged in sounds great as well. It's so much louder than my last acoustic that I've had to learn to back off a bit on my strumming!
Aesthetically, it's a beautiful guitar. It was set up nicely and shipped in perfect condition.
Just a note to anyone interested in an Ovation: there are two sizes to the round backs. Some are thinner, which makes them easier to hold, but the sound is thinner as well. If you want a beefier tone then the larger size is what you want, which this particular model has.

Excellent overall quality. This is one company that has remained consistent in their build quality and like the old VW's just added a few well thought out features each year to make a better product. I do wish it came in a medium depth body and that more than two colors were offered but basic black is ok I guess. After I removed both bridge shims and put on some silk and steel light Martin Marquis strings it was perfect for these old hands. No fret buzz with low and light strings-nice. The built in tuner is a little touchy as usual but once you get used to it it does the job. It's very easy to add strap-locks and a sound hole plug to eliminate any feedback at high volume. I also stuck on one of those John Pearse ebony arm rests. However the case is such a tight fit that now the lid won't close all the way-oh well. I played three hours at the Farmer Market with this guitar last Saturday AM and I was very pleased with the sound through my powered PA speakers. I like to run it through a Keeley compressor to give it more gain and sustain and usually add a touch of chorus for interest also. IMO the Ovations are not made for the purists to play un-amplified. They are rock solid instruments that are super stable and stay in tune in all weather. They can take heavy use and don't need constant changes of the truss rod every time the weather changes or you play outdoors.
