Eminence Legend 1058

Great speakers. Put two in a Fender 63 Vibroverb Reissue and they sound great. Original speakers were Jensen C10Q's and they sound pretty good. Wanted speakers with tighter bottom end, and a bit warmer top end. These really did the trick. Very happy with these and would highly recommend in a 2 x 10 Vibroverb, or Vibrolux. I am sure they would sound great in a Super as well.

Thumbs up!

Replaced a couple of WGS G10CS speakers with two of these Eminence Legend 1058 speakers in a custom 2x10 cab driven by a sweet blackface Fender Showman running on two 6L6's instead of four. Very big improvement in my opinion, both clean and with drive pedals. Nice top and bottom with even mids that really work well with the classic blackface tone stack. A no-brainer best buy in 10's for blackface Fenders.

Great Replacement for PRRI

I've owned a Princeton Reverb reissue for about 5 years and while I wasn't completely dissatisfied with the stock Jensen speaker I was wasn't really happy with it. At low volume the stock Jensen sounded pretty good but as soon as it reached moderate volume the highs were just too sharp or spiky. At anything around 5 the lows started getting flabby. So I decided to start looking for a new speaker. I listened to a lot of YouTube videos and read many reviews. I eventually decided on the Eminence Legend 1058 so I called up my Sweetwater associate and ordered one. This is a great replacement speaker for the Princeton. The highs are now smoother and the lows are crisper but it still retains it's classic Fender blackface sound. You get a lot of bang for the buck with this speaker. In fact this should be the speaker the Princeton comes stock with.I can highly recommend the Legend 1058 to anyone contemplating replacing the stock speaker in their PRRI and it doesn't hurt getting it from Sweetwater who has great customer service.

Speaker Upgrade

I built my own speaker box. At the time, I utilized 2, 10 inch subwoofers I had on hand. The sound was really good with them, I just knew an upgrade would make it even better. These Eminence Legend 1058 in 8 ohm worked out really well for this project. I'm utilizing a 4 ohm, 30 watt Rogue CG30R combo amp to power this for now. A head will be my next adventure. Awesome sound! My skill is very minimal, but I love crankin this thing up! It's crisp, handles everything I can stand to put through it and I go from a mellow tone to a rippin screamin high. My tiny music room caint handle it!I would highly recommend these speakers. Note, I'm not a gig player. I only play in home and record for me. These speakers worked out for me. I built my speaker box wired in series. Two 8 ohm speakers wired in series, 16 ohm's. Now with these 8 ohm, I'm wired in parallel. Two 8 ohm, drops to 4 ohm which matches my amp's ohm's. So that helped improve the sound there too. An easy build and these would be some great speakers to put in it. I love em'!
