Big Sound From a Small Package

Like its predecessors, this latest addition to the Martin line is built with the same Martin quality craftsmanship, with an emphasis on producing great sound in a smaller guitar. The Little Martin is durable and easy to play. It is the perfect "pick up and play" guitar that lets you jam at home or on the road and is the perfect choice for students.

In a nutshell, the Little Martin is comfortable to play (despite it's slightly smaller size), tonally viable, affordably priced, environmentally responsible and compact - making it THE perfect choice for travel, practice or students! The Little Martin combines a modified 0-14 fret tenor Martin shape with a 23" scale length. The one panel back and sides are crafted from Mahogany Pattern HPL and the top is cut from Spruce Pattern HPL making the Little Martin amazingly friendly in just about any climate. In fact, the Little Martin has been atop the summit of Denali and several additional challenging environments and all reports are that it performed amazingly well!

Your Little Martin comes with a padded gig bag made of a tough ballistic cloth exterior, plush interior, backpack straps and a front zipper compartment.

Martin LXM

This a cool little acoustic. Sounds like a Martin, as it should. I like the Spruce look to the top and the stained neck. It's a nice companion to my solid Spruce topped GPX1AE. The fret spacing isn't too tight for my fingers even higher on the neck. The action is low as I like it. The laminated top lets me keep it out and ready to grab, worry free in the dry humidity of winter, unlike my other acoustic. I am glad I got this.

My little Martin

If music is your passion and playing guitar is a hobby or profession, this little Martin will be right there for you. It handles well thanks to the guys at Sweetwater allowing me the handeling of a professional player or just to sit alone write songs. It has the qualities and sound of a bigger Martin guitar suitable for any size guitarist. The sales representative at Sweetwater are trendy and professional and I will continue to shop there. Thanks Justin

Love my Little Matin

I just received my new Martin LXM from Sweetwater. Shipping was very fast. Ordered it on Sun, got in on Tue, and shipping is free. I do a lot of online shopping and comparisons. A guitar is something you want to be in great condition. Not only look good but play good. The guitar was perfect, no dings, dents, scratches or imperfections. With Sweetwater 55 point inspection, I felt good that someone with great expertise would do better that I could to assure the guitar was the best it could be. It plays great. I have wanted a little Martin for about 3 months. I have a full size Martin and it developed a seam split where the top half’s are glued together. It was quite a shock to see this. I had it stored for some time and the low humidity parted the seam. So I wanted a guitar I could take on vacation and handle the travel well. I did much research and choice the LXM over the LX1. The LX1 is a solid wood top, the LXM is a laminate and handles the environment much better. The guitar is so much fun and easy to play. I will look to Sweetwater for my music supply source.

I am amazed

My husband insisted I buy a Little Martin for my daughter instead of some cheap guitar. I was VERY unsure about that decision since it was $300 and my daughter was 7, but I couldn't be happier. It looks and sounds just like a Martin, its just smaller. My daughter loves it and thinks it is awesome that she has a guitar just like her dads and makes sure she treats it just like her dad treats his. In the 3 years we have had it there hasn't been a single problem. Well worth the money.

SAW IT AND HAD TO PLAY IT!

HEY FOR WHAT IT IS I DO THINK ITS AN INCREDIBLE LITTLE DUDE!(GUITAR :)) i love this thing,, i really do. its a novelty item yes, but soooo much more. sweet looking incredibelly sweet sounding guitar.especially considering its size and purpose. craftsmanship and feel of this little guy is as good as my taylor 314ce or my martin d-15 rosewood, takamine eg531sc. im not kidding its the real deal just smaller. it has sustain , punch ,clear note separation and it fun to own and play!! the thing stays in tune like a 1500 dollar guitar. its not a toy, its the first little guitar ive played that sounded really high quality.and it is, i bought it and i am reaaly proud of it,i love playing for people who think its one of those little target or toys r us christmas guitars.DUDES...its all Martin! ive never played or even seen the baby taylors,im sure theyre nice too,( i own two taylors 110 and 314ce)but this is MY LITTLE MARTIN and i love to play it. every guitar enthusiast needs to have one of these, they rock!
