Not a good mic
I gave this a two, mainly because of appearance, size, and the fact it has an XLR. If you do live/interweb audio things, this is perfect, but for recording, it's awful. The frequency response given in the little brochure shows 2 response (w/ no frequencies listed.... big help). I assumed the top was on axis and the bottom was off. But from what I could hear, the bottom on is on axis. There is about a 10db spike in the 5k-5.5kHz range. I sang and thought my ears were going to bleed from sibilance. I thought it may be the conversion, but after trying the xlr, no, it's the mic. The same day I bought it, I returned it, and got a Yeti. Not professional studio quality, but infinitely better and less brittle than this thing. I really wanted to like this mic, but I just don't
Very disappointing....I can't believe this is the same company that makes the C1, a FANTASTIC mic for the price. They should just up the price $40 and throw a USB connection in that.
