A classic all the way!
Having owned many Les Pauls to include Historic reissues, this Goldtop Traditional hangs with the best of them. Set up was perfect out of the box with no dead spots. Goes from crystal cleans to full grind all with the volume and tone knobs. The Bigsby works flawlessly and they got the color of the plastics right...no 'prosthetic pink' P90 covers...true bone colored to match the pickguard. For all the bashing people give Gibson, they got this model right. Considering the prices that new 2014 Les Pauls are going for, this is a great price/deal. Andy Miller has been my salesguy and is a true pro who provides excellent customer service.
What a Glorious Axe!
Just got this amazing guitar delivered today and I am finally putting it down long enough to sing its praises. The sound, the feel, the look ...even the SMELL of this instrument let you know that Gibson has hit a major HOME RUN with the Traditional line of Les Paul guitars. I own a 2013 Custom Shop R9, and this Golden Wonder can hang with it in just about any category you'd choose ... at less than half the price.
Another thing that has to be mentioned: this is my first purchase with Sweetwater and I am blown away! This guitar came out of the box PERFECTLY set-up ... I mean this, I am a picky son-of-a-gun and I can't find even the smallest reason to take a screwdriver to it. This is not hype, ladies and gentlemen, Sweetwater's 55-point is the REAL DEAL. I know this guitar did not leave Nashville like this. Big thanks to Sales Engineer Jon Kremple for his courteous attention to my order ... you are a PRO, my friend.

Goldtop P90s
I bought one of these a little while back, and while I also have an LP with '57 Classics, the P90s on this guitar, blow me away. What great sound and tone. This guitar has quickly become a favorite. The slimmer 60's neck, enhances the play-a-bility. This is a VERY reasonable price for a Les Paul. Buy one, you will not regret it !
