    Incredible experience!!

I swore I wouldn't buy anything like this without actually holding it first.
But with sweetwaters individual pictures of all of their guitars, and the option to select from several of the same kind you want, it's as close as you can get to holding the guitar. Once ordered, I got a call the next day from Kent to talk about my order, which is unheard of in today's corporate world. Once shipped I received the guitar in two days. The setup of the guitar is absolutely flawless. As for the guitar, it's a Les Paul. It's my first Les Paul. It's sounds awesome, looks spectacular, I absolutely love everything about it!!

    This is it...

Wine Red with gold hardware just blew me away. This indeed is a great instrument. I wouldnt expect anything less from Gibson. I always read reviews about the nuts being cut wrong on LPs in the past, well not this one. NO BUZZ! The pickups are very versatile. When I hear 57s I usually hear the vintage sound. I tested them out and they can literally do anything! The push/pull feature just makes it even more versatile. This review may be a little biased because this was my first LP! Also the guys at Sweetwater are a great help and check for 100% quality.

If you want a Gibson for a good price, then this it.

It's a beautiful instrument, I was blown away by the looks. it,s not that heavy (easily gigged for 4 hours without any back pain), but still feels like a Gibson should. The gold hardware is loosing its color quicker than I thought, due to the sweat on your hands. If you're used to rosewood, the Granadillo fretboard might take some time to get used to. Looks wise that's the only drawback, but once you're used to it, it actually plays nice. The split coils are not really what I expected. It doesn't sound like a single coil, so don't expect fender tones with it. The sound is very warm, not really a metal guitar, but still very versatile. For around two hundred dollars more, I suppose you can also consider the Les Paul traditional. Although this guitar will not be my workhorse, I always wanted a Gibson Les Paul and with this one could finally afford to buy one. Will never sell it!

A Guitar worth adding to my collection of Les Pauls

I have the Wine Red Gold series Signature T. I've been playing it through a Marshall JVM 205H and a Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab. I love the the way the guitar looks. The quality is superb. It was setup perfectly right out of the case thanks to the 55 point inspection done by Sweetwater's guitar techs. The Granadillo fret board was light in color, but is getting darker the more I play it. There seems to be a unique difference in tone between the Granadillo fret board verse a rosewood fret board, but in a good way. It seems to have a brighter tone. Notes just pop off this neck. Notes really sing. I really like it. This guitar has a sound of it's own that sets it apart from any of my other Les Pauls. That's why I am adding it to my collection. The 60s slim taper neck is very fast which makes playing this thing a real joy. This guitar will do a lot of things, but it doesn't do everything. That might have to do with the Classic 57 plus pickup in the bridge. However, it does Rock, classic rock, and blues extremely well. Standard tuning is where it shines. Where it falls short, and why I didn't give it 5 stars, is drop D tuning and 1/2 step down tuning. A side from that, it is a great bang for the buck! I've been playing for for almost 20 years. I'm really glad I bought this guitar and I don't have any regrets. I've been playing it every day since the day it arrived and look forward to playing it for many years to come. It's a keeper.
