Gibson Les Paul Signature T - Wine Red Reviews

5.0 stars based on 3 customer reviews

    Very Nice

This is ridiculous - it's literally alive. The guys in my band notice when I plug it in, and all agree it sounds heads and tails about my custom shop ESP and my Gary Moore Les Paul. I will say if you play harder rock that the stock bridge pickup needs to go if you are in a 2 guitar band. It just doesn't cut. I replaced it with a Duncan Custom and it screams. If I had to do it again I would pick this one up or the Les Paul traditional. both are very nice

I'm actually a bit disappointed with this guitar, but not in the way that you're thinking. I have a lovely Gibson Les Paul Standard Trad Pro that has boutique Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell pickups in it. They were expensive and sounded great - until I met this Sig T. It has stock '57 Classics in it and sounds phenomenal. Clean is not my thing, but it does it well. Throw some dirt at it and it shines even more. I'm disappointed because now I'm considering selling the Standard!

I have a bad back and one of the best things about Sweetwater is that they provide the weight of their guitars on line. I looked and looked at their website until I ran across this 8lb 5oz six-string. It was a bonus that she has one of the best striped maple top that I have seen before or since. The granadillo fingerboard plays like rosewood, although I do wish it was a tad darker. She came reasonably well set up and the locking tuners are great for stability.

The slightly hotter sounding than PAF pickups are what takes this Gibson from good to great. Thanks Sweetwater & Gibson!

    An awesome guitar!

You get a great bang for your buck with this guitar. I just recently bought it to go with my fulltone ocd and my fender blues jr. When i went to play it, i was absoloutely blown away by the sounds! The mahagony back and the 57 classic pickups do the thing for sure. They sound just like the old ACDC or Van Halen records and are very versetile due to the push/pull pots. You get a whole different arena of sounds due to those knobs. As far as looks go, you can't go wrong. The flame top on mine is absoloutely beautiful and it looks just like a classic Gibson Les Paul. The only thing that almost turned me away was that the fretboard wasn't rosewood. Instead, it was grenadillo (Sweetwater says rosewood but its not). I was a bit concerned but after playing it, there is really no difference and quite possibly is better than rosewood. Overall, a great guitar, but i would suggest playing before buying
