A Les Paul That's Far More Than Standard!

You can't beat the Gibson Les Paul Standard solidbody electric guitar for iconic vintage tone with uncompromising playability. You'll love the Les Paul Standard's premium features, like the "Modern" weight-relieved body that's lighter in weight but still packs ample sustain. The mahogany neck sports a '60s profile for fast and fluid fretwork, and the compound radius rosewood fretboard makes the Les Paul Standard perfect for both rhythm and lead roles. And with dual Burstbucker Pro pickups, with coil tapping to switch between humbucking and single-coil operation, you'll have all the classic guitar tone you can handle with the Gibson Les Paul Standard!

Gibson Les Paul Standard Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Mahogany body with AAA flamed maple top
  • '60s neck profile with compound radius fingerboard
  • Burstbucker Pro pickups with coil taps
  • PLEK'd for precision playability
The Les Paul recipe for sustain - mahogany body with AAA flamed maple top

Gibson's Les Paul Standard gives you the robust sustain you need for hot liquid solos and massive power chords. What's Gibson's secret? A major part of the Les Paul's tonewood recipe is the fusion of a maple top on a mahogany body. This combination is largely responsible for the legendary Les Paul sound, as well the LP's reputation for being rather heavy. But fear not! Modern weight relief has been scientifically applied to the Les Paul Standard, giving you all the sustain, without the pain.

'60s neck profile with compound radius fingerboard

Many guitarists consider Gibson's Slim Taper neck the most playable Les Paul neck ever made. Being huge fans of the benefits of a compound radius fretboard, Sweetwater guitarists are excited that Gibson is joining their Slim Taper neck with a compound radius fretboard, making the playability even better. The fingerboard is rounder near the nut for easy chord-grabbing and rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big, big string bends.

Pickups deliver true Les Paul sound - and then some

The Les Paul Standard features Burstbucker Pro pickups that give you everything you need for a classic humbucking sound. But there's more! The volume and tone knobs feature a push-pull configuration that allows you to choose between classic humbuckers and single coils. You can run both pickups alongside each other in or out of phase, and you can even send the bridge pickup directly to the jack output for added volume and brightness.

PLEK'd for precision playability

This Gibson Les Paul Standard 2016 T feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to PLEK processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Genuine LP sound and looks with modern features
  • Classic mahogany body and AAA flamed maple top deliver singing sustain
  • Modern weight relief lightens the load without sacrificing tone
  • '60s neck and compound radius fretboard for playing without fatigue
  • Burstbucker Pro pickups kick out smoky humbucker tones
  • Push-pull controls allow coil tapping for single-coil spank
You get classic plus modern with the Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar!

Sweet guitar!

The only thing I have to say is it's a Gibson Les Paul! Best guitar ever made!
Music background: Hobby

Sweet guitar!

I have bought many guitars for Sweetwater and I must say that this one is one, if not the nicest Les Pauls that I have purchased. It feels nice, plays nice, and sounds nice. I also like the 36 month financing! All in all I am very happy with my purchase, with Sweetwater, and my salesman Dave Brow!!

My dream Les Paul

I've been thinking about getting another Gibson Les Paul for quite a few years now. I used to own a Gibson Les Paul 60's Classic in Honey Burst, but ended up selling it for financial reasons. But, during the last few years I been keeping eye on the latest and greatest Gibson had been releasing over the years. With Sweetwater's best deal of 0% financing for 36 months, I had to jump at the chance to order a Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional in Tea Burst. All the appointments on this guitar are amazing and makes this guitar more versatile for gigging. I've always wanted a Les Paul with a flame maple top with a burst finish and the Tea Burst looks more vintage to me and is Awesome in person. The neck on this guitar feels better than the 60's Classic because of the compound radius fretboard and the asymmetrical neck shape. A very comfortable neck! The Grover tuners just complete what I prefer on my guitars. The sound is pure PAF Gibson vibe and screams in high gain distortion. The other brilliant appointment this guitar has is the push/pull options for versatility. It took a while for Gibson to catch on, but better late than never. This Les Paul is high quality workmanship and exudes CLASS with a vintage vibe. Of course, the Brown Gibson case is top notch as well. I just gotta say, major Thanks to my Sales Engineer, Kevin Samuel for helping achieve my dream Gibson Les Paul Standard T. Sweetwater ROCKS!!!

2016 Les Paul Standard T

Awesome Les Paul. I love the coil tapping pots, allows you to get that P90 vibe from the pickups. Be careful with the bypass pot, very loud going from the pickup straight to the amp. Sweetwater did an awesome job with the setup, ready to play straight outta the box. Awesome customer service as well.

Sweetwater Cares

I have purchased two guitars fairly recent from Sweetwater. I was called several times and asked how everything was working out. This is unheard of !!!!. I also have bought countless strings, picks, etc. I have never been disappointed...If you go elsewhere you will get what you deserve. Sweetwater Cares. Unlike most companies nowadays I suppose they want to stay in business that's why they are so good in customer service...
