Creative Power Meets Mobile Freedom

Get creative anywhere with Akai Professional's LPK25 Wireless compact MIDI controller keyboard. This practically pocket-sized mini controller gives you two octaves of perfectly playable mini keys for laying down ideas or creating songs on the go. Battery power and Bluetooth connectivity free you from cables for total portability, and there are other cool functions as well. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a remarkably powerful little keyboard for mobile music creation, then you can't beat the Akai LPK25 Wireless.

Way more control than you'd expect

To look at the LPK25 Wireless, you might not expect a whole lot of flexibility, but this compact controller keyboard is full of surprises. For starters, the keybed delivers extremely responsive synth action, which is perfect for fast playing techniques, and it's totally velocity-sensitive, too. Octave keys let you quickly cover the full piano range, and there's even a sustain pedal input, which is something we rarely see on compact keyboards here at Sweetwater. But the star of the show has to be the multimode arpeggiator, which comes complete with tap tempo.

Built for maximum portability

Want to sketch song ideas on the subway? How about laying down beats on the beach? Between USB bus power and batteries, you never have to worry about plugging in to play your favorite soft synths. And speaking of wireless, Sweetwater electronic music producers and composers particularly appreciate the LPK25 Wireless's Bluetooth capabilities, which let you even leave the USB cable at home and connect to your laptop or mobile device.

LPK25 wireless

Funny story with this little controller. I actually turned this into a keytar. I built a shell around the controller out of legos and put a guitar strap on it! I run mainstage with it and it has worked wonders for really synth-y songs and keyboard solos! Such a great controller.

Bluetooth Connectivity is a joke

Bluetooth Connectivity, which is the highlight of this product, it TERRIBLE. You need to re-pair the keyboard with your computer each time you turn it on to use it via bluetooth. This is a 7 step process that involves going into the audio midi setup and midi studio (if you are on a Mac) and finding the device and connecting to it. It would be ok if it was a lengthy process the first time. But you have to do it every single time you want to use it via bluetooth. I called AKAI support thinking I had to be doing something wrong. They confirmed that this was the process needed every single time. The keys on it are very spongy and you need to press them very hard in order to get them to trigger. Stay away from this one.
