    Cool Sexy Axe

A very nice guitar , l liked the looks of it, as it was different than the usual ,and l was especially attracted to the thick wood grain which looks woody . l have wood furniture throughout my home , and this guitar in chocolate color fits right in. Being weight reduced with the holes drilled into body, it is a perfect weight. . l like as it does not pull on left shoulder so hard as other heavier models l have owned before. Making playing longer easier on our neck ,and shoulders. Now as for tone , l love it, as for me l like a husky heavier alto type tone when playing mostly clean with slight overdrive. For example it sounds similar to Warren Haynes tones on his brown L/P he used in the 1990's ABB. Kind of deep , but mellow on the neck pickup setting , l must say l did not notice any thinner tone being weight reduced, if anything it seemd fatter , & warmer with good sustain. l have not used it as much so far on the bridge , but l think it will sound just fine with the bridge pickup ,and some good distortion , for a ZZ Top type growling tone . This is a beautiful Guitar to just hang on the wall ,and look at . The tuning keys work just fine ,and it stays in tune real well.. l find navigating the neck real easy , and smooth , it feels sleek ,and fast , but l am not a speed guy so , you may differ, but l like it, not to wide , but not to slim either. So if you are interested in this Guitar, take a risk , l bet you will not be sorry, as it is a cool , sleek, sexy looking instrument, and you will look cool playing it . Be ready for people to compliment you with this guitar as it looks so darn good.

    Great guitar!

This is the first guitar I've bought in ten years and I'm very impressed by the quality and sound. Excellent price for such a fine guitar. The help provided to me by Ryan Holquist was unparalleled to what I have be accustomed to at other shops. Needless to say ill be shopping Sweetwater in the future. Well done.

I bought this specifically because it had the faded worn look that I wanted and the price was so much below the studio. These are the same pickups (490, 498) that are in the studio. They are VERY hot pickups. This thing is USA made with Kluson tuners and real pickups for $700 !!!!!!!!
I am playing it through the Marshall DSL40C and a VOX lil' nightrain for practice.
If you want to pay a whole lot more for the laquer finish Les paul's, that is great but mechanically, this guitar is the same.

    A Work Horse Worth Having!!!

I really love this guitar. I was thinking it would be on par with a nice Epiphone Les Paul. I was sorely mistaken. I can't put this guitar down. I love the feel, the sound and the look of the LPJ. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking at getting a Les Paul.
