Great Snare Drum

I just bought a 1977 set if Ludwig Vistalites that had been taken very well care of. The set had a Supraphonic snare drum with it. I cleaned it up a little, put new snares and heads on it and it sounds like a million dollars. I have owned many snare drums in my career and this drum sounds better, or as good as, any of them. That includes the Rogers Dyna Sonic, the Gretsch Chrome over Brass, and the Slingerland Chrome over Brass from the 60's, Also the Rogers Power Tone and the Tama Imperial Star. The Ludwig Supraphonic is a fantastic drum. I can tune my 1977 Supraphonic for any type of playing and it is very responsive in any tuning. I love it. Every drummer should have one in their collection of snare drums.
Music background: I am a retired full time working drummer who started playing full time in the late 60's and played until the early 2000's full time and then for several years part time.
