    Wonderful instrument

Nothing better to do. Sooo I thought I would weigh in on the LL 16..... I recently purchased the mahogany. I previously owned the rosewood. I no longer own the rosewood . Only because I had gifted it to a talented inspiring young musician that was long over due for a better guitar. The LL 16 M is the kind of guitar that you can't put down.I woke up. Played it for over 2 hours. Put it down for a few minutes. Then another 2 hours or so. 4 hours could have been 20 minutes . I couldn't tell. It's like a time warp. It's that sweet. Well built. And although everybody has their own preference when it comes to specs or whatever. I have to say that the LL 16 M or R are guitars that easily surpass other guitars costing far far more. They play great. Plugged or unplugged. They sound great. And time will only add to what makes this guitar as wonderful as it already is. And as far as buying from SW. I am not always an easy customer to deal with. And still SW hangs tuff. They go the extra mile. And they never let me down. I highly recommend this guitar and SW.

    Great Guitar - Excellent Value!

Yamaha's are great, solid guitars. This series with the aged wood is exceptional. I got the maple version, so it has ringing higs and a much brighter tone than rosewood. I have owed Martins, old Martins, Guild Jumbo American from the 80's, etc. and this one is right up there will all of them. Unless you want to spend two or three grand or play professionally and want the name, this one will do. Check out the videos online. The pickup works great, too. No adjustments, but you really don't need them with this passive pickup. I use in on an old Kustom tube amp with the chorus dialed in and it sounds sweet. Really, like the other guys/gals are saying, if you want a keeper for a cafƩ gig, playing at home, even playing with a band, this one is a great deal. Sounds better than the import mahogany Guild I have that cost me about the same. And, you get a nice hardshell case with it! So, if you are seriously considering it, I would grab one. I am really happy with mine. Workmanship is pretty much flawless, too.

    amazing is right on

I have to say this is probably the best sounding guitar you will ever find for the price. I actually bought this guitar from a dealer in my town. I own a few other guitars, a Taylor 810e, a martin d15m just to name two of them. I have to say more often than not this is the guitar that I play. I really like my other guitars too but if a person could only afford to buy one guitar I strongly urge you to play this guitar. If you don't have a dealer in your town I would order it from Sweetwater. I promise you will not be disappointed. I have played a lot of different guitars. Some that cost over twice as much as this guitar or even more and this guitar hangs with them or even sounds better. The pick up system sounds really good too. If you are looking for a guitar in this price range. Do yourself a favor and check this one out. You wont regret it.

    Amazing sound

I don't usually write reviews, but this instrument inspires a good one. I trķed several guitars, one after the other, looking for a big blanced sound. I was in the store rejecting one after the other. Sound too muddy, others too boomy. Then the seller hands me this Yamaha. First strum blew me away. Huge sound, super defined, no booming notes, crisp yet not too harsh hi end. I mean, it was love at first sight. No comparison to any Taylor or Martin for this price range. This is exactly the guitar I was looking for. After all, it's a matter of personal taste. Built quality is exquisite.
