Acoustic/Electric/Electric/MIDI Bliss Godin LGX-SA

Had guitar 3 days, its 4+ guitars in one! 1. Nice low volume & sound unplugged, which I need since grave-shift boys sleep in next room and have to work with headphones until afternoons 2. Acoustic jack out: With Godin LGX-SA >----> Fishman ToneDeq >---->Yamaha HS8 Studio monitors I get a sweet sound not same as my Martin GC1 Cocobolo, great sound just different. 3. Electric jack out: Extremely close to the Carvin CT6 carvetop that I miss very much. I currently do electric about 10% of the time, will be months before I can review this part better 4. GK3 type midi out) Godin LGX-SA >----> Boss GP10 >---->Yamaha HS8 Studio I now have 20 more guitars,3 Basses,3 synth guitars and 20+ preamps plus effects. All sounding amazing (GP10 review coming later). GP10 also gives you alt tuning (including octave up/down in 1 step increments) and a 12 string emulation (that I don't have dialed in quite yet, as I am spoiled by my Martin GC12) Also as a MIDI guitar I can play all the midi instruments in my DAW (Reason). Gigs: Acoustic out >----> Fishman ToneDeq >----> FOH (or just use GP10 Models) Electric out >----> GP10 Guitar in >---->Guitar out to amp (effects only) or FOH through GP10 outs MIDI (GK3 style) >----> GP10 > FOH and I can leave my martins (12 & 6 string) for acoustic only (no amp) events Please email me if questions or setup with GP10. Sack is the greatest, very quick on getting questions answered and Sweetwater ALWAYS gives great service. PS if buying GP10 get the one with pickup to save money on GK3 midi cord!

Even after reading scores of reviews I could not believe the range of tone coming from one instrument. Between this guitar and my modeling amp I can get anything from mellow, full bodied acoustic to jazz to heavy metal. I also play it through a GR-55 guitar synth. It performs better than my Fender/Roland GC-1. This is my third and last electric. It does it all. The neck is a dream, easy to finger and very fast. The finish is perfect -- my wife who has an artist's eye has commented that it is beautiful. The only drawback is that they are rare. Prior to purchasing I looked all over California to buy local. Nothing from San Francisco to San Diego. I went with Sweetwater after an aborted purchase and return through another on-line store. I quickly learned my lesson. Not all mail order companies are created equal. I'm now a loyal Sweetwater customer for life.

Just the most versatile guitar you may find.

Just the most versatile guitar you may find. The Deymour Duncan are so great. Warm sound and great tone. The Piezo is just amazing. With the preamp I just can get a real acoustic sound. But the most is the synth gear. I just wanna get a GR 55 to change my old GR 33, To get more of the Electric magnetic pickup.
