A Streamlined 6-slot 500 Series Rack

Create your ideal signal chain with the Midas Legend L6 500 Series Rackmount Chassis. The 6-slot L6 features advanced audio routing to streamline your cabling, and a beefy auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply so you can confidently travel anywhere in the world with your favorite modules. The L6 chassis provides I/O connectivity and 48V phantom power for up to 6 modules in a roadworthy steel chassis that occupies just three 19" rack spaces. And if your compressor modules support it, the L6's Comp Bus Link switches even let you link them together for stereo or multi-channel sidechain operation without the necessity of insert cables.

Optimized signal quality, simplified setup

If your 500 Series chassis does double duty in the studio and on the road, you want to minimize cabling issues. Sweetwater gets that. Which is why the L6 will be a welcome breath of fresh air. Midas spec'd the rack with cool audio output link switches that make short work of connecting and rearranging your modules without cable hassles. Simply install your modules in the order you want and the signal will daisy-chain through them without the need for additional cables. So you can keep your rack neat while optimizing signal integrity.

Very Impressed

I was hesitant to buy this simply because the price was so low. Well, don't let the low price fool you, it's worth a lot more than you'll pay. It's built like a tank. All my 500 units fit it perfectly, and the ability to chain together the modules with the push of a button is very convenient and saves having to run additional cables. I would recommend this chassis to anyone and everyone.

Excellent and affordable lunchbox

Other reviews mention noise from the powersupply, mine is SUPER quiet. Plenty of power onboard and no noise or interference bleeding through my modules...currently have 3 running (Pre,Comp & EQ) and being able to link all three and use only 1 xlr in and 1 xlr out is a great feature..nice difference from my full size rack gear and the mess of wires in the back. Wish it had a power consumption meter/lights but at this price point it's a good trade off..I'd rather spend the extra money on another module. I highly recommend this rack chassis. It's built like a tank too. Others were complaining about the Torx screws, but I actually prefer them, there is zero chance of the drive slipping out or stripping when tightening/loosening tyan with Phillips heads. If it bothers you that much, but a set of Radial Thumb Screws...I might pickup a set of them myself to make swapping quicker.

Great piece, Great price.

works perfect. can be rackmounted or left portable - nice handle. i bought 2 - racked one and use the other one to take a few mic pres if i'm recording somewhere else. it's built very well - very sturdy construction. nice cushioned feet both on the bottom and the side opposite the handle. comes with torx screws size T10 - wasn't a big deal for me - i have a screwdriver set with interchangeable bits. very happy with my purchase. the price is incredible. hard to believe they can make them for this price.

Very stolid and Great price!!!

Once I've filled this lunch box I plan on buying more. This piece of gear will inspire you to fill it will quality 500 series outboard gear. I have a Neve 511 and plan on adding TK Audio BC501, Millennia HV-35, dbx 560A, dbx 530. I will not buy gear from any place but Sweetwater Their customer service is head and shoulders above any "competition" you all are the best, thanks Brad!
