    Nice Portable Kaossilator!

This thing is great. So portable and the sounds are excellent. I have mine going through my Kaossilator Pro. I am a musician , but is is so easy to use you don't have to be a musician. DJ, Producer , Novice , etc all will enjoy this kaoss! And the price is right!

    Kaossilator 2

I've played myself to sleep with this, like I was six years old. Do I really need to say more? I don't think I've even begun to scratch the surface of this device, but in conjunction with other electronic devices and mixers, is a powerful tool. This, my friend, is no toy.

Phaelnot on the Korg Kaosillator 2

Absolutely love it, still trying to figure out how to get my MS20 Mini Synth to accept input, or process output from it. Saw a video on Youtube that had it in the loop, so I know it works. Better than I expected, one bad *** portable synth. Love the dual loop recording...understand why they call it the "kaossiolator 2".

    Great for beats

I used to own an original Kaossilator, and I think this is a pretty good upgrade over the original. The display gives a text description of the selected sound instead of the 3 character codes of the original. It also only requires 2 batteries instead of 4. I like the fact that it has 2 loops and the loops can be saved to an SD card. The biggest drawback is that it can be difficult to hit the right note, even with all the different musical scales available.

    Accompaniment Small and Cheap

The Kaossilator 2 offers a better sound as well as greater flexibility and ease of use over its predecessor. The RCA connections on the first Kaossilator model have been replaced with a single 1/4" Input, allowing for easier access by musicians, who may have been put off by the RCAs. The interface has been completely redone, with the emphasis on ease of use. The recording process benefits greatly from this refit. Pushing buttons produces clear-cut results as opposed to Kaossilator's predecessor, which required deciphering a 2-digit number to get the same info. All a user could want is the info on the program list on the display.

    Lots inside, but very flimsy

I bought the kaossilator 2, despite its mixed reviews. The sounds its packed with are okay. The ideas you can finger from scratch are quite creative. What bothers me though is the plastic case is flimsy and can quite easily chip when changing the batteries. My kaossilator broke after 3 days. I figured I could throw it in my backpack because its "portable". The on and off switch popped off in the inside and became desoildered. I couldnt turn it on anymore and had to return it. Also the kaossilator 2 can only store up to 2 bars on a loop. I was actually hoping for upwards of 8 bars, at least 4 bars like the K-Pro. Save yourself the hassel and by a kaossilator 1. Korg needs to do a better job releasing a sturdy product.

    kaossilator piece of junk

mine worked for about an hour and quit. in that short time i learned that the touchpad is just too small for me to use. sweetwater is great and will take it back. i was going to buy a pro+ from them for 399 but found them on ebay for 275.

this toy is ok for house music but it is not a musical instrument IMHO
