Designed for fast, flexible playability by Keith Merrow himself

Guitarist Keith Merrow has made a reputation for seamlessly melding monstrous rhythms with soaring leads, and he designed the KM-7 guitar with Schecter to give him the eminent playability he needs. You'll be able to set your own speed limit with this axe, thanks to its fast ultra-thin C neck profile and compound-radius fretboard.

Epic modern metal tone from dual Seymour Duncan pickups

Specifically voiced for 7-string guitars, the Seymour Duncan Sentient and Nazgul humbuckers on the Keith Merrow KM-7 are primed for high-octane tone. The Sentient in the neck position gives you harmonically-rich distorted tones, but cleans up nice and sweet, too. The Nazgul at the bridge gives new meaning to the term high output, ready to turn your favorite amplifier into a face-melting furnace.

Countless shredders demand a compound-radius fretboard

The Keith Merrow KM-7 features a 12"-16" compound radius fretboard for ultimate playability. The fingerboard is rounder near the nut for easy chord-grabbing and rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you'll be up at the highest frets before you know it.

Schecter Keith Merrow KM-7 Signature 7-string Electric Guitar Features:
  • Made-for-metal 7-string guitar, developed in collaboration with Keith Merrow
  • Sweet looks and a smooth feel from the arched flame maple top
  • Plays fast and smooth with an ultra-thin C neck profile and compound-radius fretboard
  • 3-piece maple neck is stronger and more rigid than 1-piece necks
  • High-output, aggressive tone from Seymour Duncan Sentient and Nazgul humbuckers
You'll command the stage with the Schecter Keith Merrow KM-7!

Killer Guitar!

I bought the KM-7 after doing a lot of research on which seven string would be my next guitar, and I couldn't be happier. Schecter's quality control on their instruments is some of the best out there, regardless of the price, and this instrument is no exception. The finish is great, the fret job is good, and the whole guitar just feels right. The longer scale neck feels a bit different, especially if you're used to Les Paul scale necks, but it's incredibly comfortable to play. The back of the neck is smooth, and the matte finish is nice to the touch and allows your hand to move without effort, unlike breaking in the neck on a gloss finished instrument. The locking tuners are Schecter branded, but respond very well. I've spent very little time adjusting the tuning on this guitar, and my guess is that the combination of bridge, nut and tuners really comes into play here. The electronics are incredible on this instrument as well. As a player who rarely uses a tone knob, the simplicity of the single volume knob is a nice change. The push pull feature is great as well, as you can get a lot of really nice single coil tones out of this guitar. When you combine these with the longer neck and extra string tension, the guitar has a wonderful, big tone whether you're playing clean or driven on your amp.I highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a killer seven string at a great price... It plays like a guitar three times the price.

Awesome Guitar

I was really torn between the KM6 and KM7. Made the choice to go with Nazgul and it was a great choice. So much that I may get the KM6 as the complementary guitar for recording for a slightly different tone. I did have to make some slight adjustments to the guitar to eliminate strong rattle but very happy with the choice. And I'm really a drummer.

amazing

for the price this guitar has a lot of great features and hardware that you would normally need to spend a lot more to get so great value there the compound radius is very nice the necks plays smooth and fast all the way up and down so much in fact i hardly noticed the scale length with is a bit different till your used to it. the finish is BEAUTIFUL( i have the white) and you cant see the wood grain in the pics even with the nice hd pics they use but in person its even more stunning. the seymour duncans pick ups in this are beastly the nazgul is brutal and high output with a great sound to it handles the low end great. i like them much better then actives plus you dont need to fool with a battery and the sentient in the neck is smooth warm and buttery great for searing leads or clean tones if you want a good 7 string this is worth every penny if you ask me. i did get some small damage on my during shipping but sweetwater ofc fixed the issues sent me anther quickly. great guitar great company too!

Schecter Keith Merrow KM7 7 string guitar

I was extremely impressed as usual while dealing with Sweetwater in purchasing my new Schecter KM7 guitar. Guitar arrived very quickly! It was setup and ready to play straight out of the box. The guitar itself is a beauty to behold! I was able to view pictures of what they had in stock and choose the one I wanted. The KM7 was everything I was looking for in a new 7 string. Schecter and Sweetwater both delivered the goods on this guitar!
