Great amp!
Plenty of power for our sanctuary, simple connections
and fits in our existing enclosure. Best of all , great price. Working with Sweetwater is the best.
This thing ROCKS! Go Behringer
Exceptional amp. I'm using it to power some speakers I built and they're big but I figured this would be overkill. That would be an understatement! I'm pushing them probably 1/8 of the total volume and it feels like it's gonna blow the doors off. If I crank this thing, it's gonna blow a hole through the Earth. On a serious note, it's dead simple to use and has plenty more power than you'll know what to do with, unless you're powering a church/stadium or something like that. Didn't know what to expect with the "accelerated transients" but it's incredibly dynamic. Also there is zero noise coming from the speakers as soon as something stops playing, way better than any powered studio monitors I've had before. If I got another amp I would probably get one that's less powerful and maybe that could reduce the fan noise some more. That being said, I plan to keep this thing forever.
Beast!
I bought this amp hoping it was able to drive some three-way speakers I just built. I had no idea this thing would have so much power to spare! My speakers should take quite a bit of wattage, but I have this amp at halfway and my preamp at a quarter of the way. So I feel like it's at 1/8 the power I can push, and it sounds perfect! I'm not sure what to expect with this amp since it has the "accelerated transient response" and all that stuff. All I know is, they know what they're doing. Every piece of music has transient detail and dynamics that will make your hairs stand on end. Unbelievable!
The Beat Never Stop
It's a powerful amplifier to push two Skar EVL-18 Subwoofer and i can feel the beat that me happy.
P.S Stop the hate on Behringer
Berhringer 1700 amp
Very similar to the Proton and Nad amps of the late 80s! But with better output connections, sounds great with the XiangSheng 728A tube preamp&Marantz 2130 fm tuner. I bought this for home stereo use not night club use. But so far I like it!
Great sound
I recommended this amp for my church recently. It has completely changed the sound of our service. Everything is crisp, clear and well balanced now. A great improvement over what we were using. It's pushing 2 jbl speakers, I think they are jrx215 or similar. I highly recommend this amp and am now buying one for myself.
Awesome reliable
We use these on our mains, subs, and monitors they have held up and never let us down, we are "justice"
Nice Power Amplifier
Amazing amplifier..I"m going to used this in the Philippines with switching AC Power 115-220 volts!thank you Sweetwater!
Freakin Awesome
Pump this thing all day and it doesn't even get room temp.. Very happy with how sturdy and heavy it is. It feels like a REAL piece of equipment.. Which it is.. lol Only con is that it will blow my 400w speakers if I crank it too much.
Amp upgrade
I needed to upgrade my church's amp and was looking at a few different ones. I have Behringer equipment for my own setup so I figured I'd give the Behringer KM1700 a try , since the upgrade have gotten all kinds of compliments on the sounds clarity .
Fantastic amp, for the price
I was one of the first few to get my hands on the AM1700 when it came out, so mine's 5 years old now.
This amplifier is that, just an amplifier. It has no extra bells or whistles or sweet features, it just makes sound, and good sound. It's very simple, and that's what drew me to it. However, I do wished they would've designed it with a crossover function, but that's what my driverack is for...
The amp itself looks sleek. But I didn't buy it for looks, or did I?
Anyways, it's driving a set of PV115 speakers, which this has way more power than they can handle. The fans in the amplifier are silent. The outputs are too noisy either. However having this thing in a rack on the floor, my knobs are getting noisy, so it's time to clean the pots already.
I'm wanting to get another one to drive a pair of subs, however this amp has doubled in price in 5 years...
Great Amp if it works
Straight out of the box this amp was audibly popping when adjusting the channel A level. It has two speaker posts (that I have never seen used for PA speakers once in 20 YEARS of doing live events) instead of banana connectors so you can only connect two speakers. That is just some lazy BS by Behringer. Exchanging it for another only because my previous Behringer amp worked just fine for a good 10 years. Praying I get one that doesn't malfunction straight out of the box.
