    Never had it so good.

I've been drumming for 30+ years and I've been through the misery of economy cymbals all the way up to being blessed with any choice. These Zildjian K Custom Darks are superb. They form the core of my cymbal lineup on the "dark end" of the spectrum (A Customs form the bright end). They're rich and warm with wonderfully dark tones but they're very dimensional. They have quality of sound, not just a noise that fades away without contributing to the tone. Playing these is a real pleasure and they play well with others in the Zildjian family. If these are an upgrade for you then be prepared to marvel at how much tone you'll get out of these and how responsive they are to various sticking techniques. You can work these many different ways to get many different sounds. These are real instruments.

I bought a set of these cymbals after using a set at a college ministry for almost a year. I was so impressed with them that I bought a set of my own. They sound amazing in every setting, they even take dowel sticks really well which was the real selling point for me because I have to use them occasionally for smaller venues. I am absolutely satisfied with these cymbals.

    Love them!!!

I started playing drums in high school which was just about 10 years ago for me. During this time I have played my fair share of lower end entry level cymbals; ZBT's Paiste 302s, ZHTs, and I have played some mid range cymbals at my church during my 5 years playing there; A Customs. Originally I was going to go for some A Customs to finally upgrade my ZBTs. I read about these K Darks. Since I play worship, I decided to go with the K Darks as the tone is ideally more subdued for this genre. I was blown away by how great these things sound for what I want. They are dark and subdued but do not sacrifice tone or richness at all. They are the most quiet, clear and musical cymbals I have personally played. I found when I crashed the crashes hard, the volume was actually just shy of making me wince, which is a first for me with cymbals. The price point was a little high, but they were absolutely worth the money, and Sweetwater's 48 month financing made this purchase possible for me! If you play worship, or more subdued genres like jazz, I would highly recommend these cymbals.

Zildjian K Custom Dark 4 piece

Better than I expected. My cymbals were quite old and just did not have that cut I needed. These K Dark are just what I need. I did research with reviews and video but you never know. The day I received them we played a Casino and Wow, they were impressive. Thanks Dan Overstreet for your help, as always.
