Not just another good looking Uke

Ok, so I got my Kala Archtop tenor Uke this morning from Fedex. It was delivered on time, as Sweetwater promised. It comes with Premium Aquila strings but, I replaced the high G string with a Fremont “Soloist’ Wound low G string. After playing this for a couple of hours, here is what I found: The action is good and the acoustic sound is very good. This Uke does not have a very bright sound but more of a milder sound (which I prefer anyway). And, it does project the acoustic sound quite well. But, when I plugged it into my amp, Wow! The sound coming from my Roland Micro cube is so nice and clear that I may now be tempted to use it with my Amp, more often. Anyway, I did buy this Uke for acoustic playing and that works out for me, perfectly. Needless to say, I am very happy with my purchase of this Uke. I would also recommend this instrument to anyone that wants a really nice sounding, easy playing Uke with a very decent price tag. Oh yeah, I also failed to mention the looks of this Uke. Again, Wow! What a beautiful look this Uke has. So classy and so perfect for playing those wedding gig’s. ☺ Ok, last but not least, the Sweetwater’s service: It is impeccable. I have bought from them over the years and will continue to buy from them. I have always been satisfied with that. Thanks, Sweetwater and once again, thanks to you Jason Koons!
