This is the Uke to get if you need a reasonably priced instrument

Is short, this ukulele must be seen (and played) to be believed! The detail work is superb, the sound all you could ask for, and the cost is in my opinion well worth the money spent. Mine has a bridge with the double set of holes (Like in the expensive Classical Guitar Custom Builds), the inlay is done exceptionally well, the sound projects well and is sweet to listen to. I had been looking for an instrument of this quality and finally found it.

I was instantly struck with the subdued good looks of this ukulele. The detail of the herringbone perfling and rosette combined with the rosewood binding, black nut and saddle as well as the black tuning machine buttons lend to the inherent dark good looks. The top sides and back are all book matched and while not overtly figured it is sonically very nice tonewood. This ukulele has held a tune well since my first day with it, while the action and intonation seem purty darn good to me. I continue to reach for this little axe multiple times in a day, succumbing to to the expressive tones emanating from within. Bob Furlong makes sure my order meets my satisfaction EVERY time I do business with Sweetwater and I am exceedingly happy with this addition to my strings!

luv this uke

decided to move up from soprano uke I learned the basics on. this uke is well made and a beautiful instrument. the acacia wood gives a really nice tone. making the transition to a better instrument has inspired me to become a better player. love finger picking on this uke. just a beautiful sound.
Music background: just like playing to relax and keep fingers nimble since i have arthritis

If you're ready for the next step -- Kala KA-ASAC-C is the perfect choice.

The Kala KA-ASAC-C is a wonderful instrument if you are ready to take the next step in your ukulele development. I would not spend the money if you occassionally play. I own an Oscar Schmidt and it has excellent action, but does not resonate like the Kala. The acacia wood adds weight that you immediately feel and the graduated body gives a warmth to the sound. The strings took a couple of weeks to break in, but they are fine and respond to slight movements of your fingers. As I said before, if you don't intend on playing every day, I would not spend the money -- but if you are serious, I would strongly recommend this uke to you. I have strummed Martins and have not been impressed -- this Kala sounds and feels as good.
