Taylor K22ce Koa Series Acoustic-electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Solid koa back, sides, and top for rich tone
  • Super-comfortable Grand Concert body style provides excellent tonal balance
  • Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior sound onstage
Solid koa back, sides, and top for rich tone

The Taylor K22ce has an all-koa body that combines the midrange richness of mahogany with the sparkling top end of maple. The Grand Auditorium body style further enhances the wide-ranging tone and excellent balance of the K22ce. And because all-solid tonewoods are used, the K22ce's tone will become richer and more complex as the years go by.

Super-comfortable Grand Concert body style provides excellent tonal balance

Arguably Taylor's most comfortable body style, the K22ce's smaller than average Grand Concert shape is the perfect fit for anyone looking for a more manageable instrument. That makes the K22ce a particularly good fit if you're a finger-stylest or if you have shorter arms.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior sound onstage

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into your K22ce acoustic guitar. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the K22ce's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

Taylor K22ce Koa Series Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:
  • Koa Series Grand Concert guitar with Hawaiian koa body and elegant appointments
  • Gorgeous Island Vine fretboard inlay and abalone soundhole rosette add touches of class any guitarist can appreciate
  • Comfortable Grand Concert body style fits players of all styles and sizes, without compromising on tone
  • Ebony fretboard feels fast and smooth, further enhanced by the fretboard binding
  • Indian rosewood binding on body, fretboard, and headstock provides a refined look you'll only get from a top-shelf guitar
  • Taylor Expression System 2 electronics provide exceptionally natural-sounding plugged-in tone
  • Hardshell case included

Best guitar I have ever played!

I have had my eye on this guitar for over a year and finally pulled the trigger on buying it. I am blown away by the looks and sound of the K22ce. I play mostly fingerstyle and playing is effortless with this guitar. It is extremely balanced and I look forward to it opening up over the years. I did however change from the HD lights strings it comes with to the .12 light gauge strings. I feel like once I did this it got even better. This purchase was worth every penny!!

Like a BELL

I was not expecting this to sound so balanced from the chime of the mids and highs to such a strong but not overpowering bass. The neck is all Taylor - near perfect. The only down side is same on this and most acoustic-electrics. When will someone come up with an input jack that will hold a strap in a more positive way. GREAT SERVICE as always from Sweetwater and John Ptak - THANKS

Beautiful example of the art of guitar makeing. Beautiful mellow sound plus looks and backed by Taylor and Sweetwater. What more could you ask.

Beautiful Koa, Excellent Craftmanship...

Taylor guitars have been my favorite for many years, for many reasons, and I currently own several of their models, so I'm biased to say the least, but I also have very high expectations. This new K22ce is a work of art and the figured Koa is visually stunning. The guitar has a very defined, rich and focused voice and sounds wonderful right out of the box. I was looking for another GC model for fingerstyle sessions, and this guitar is one I'll be very proud to perform with. The purchase from Sweetwater was flawless as usual, thanks Chris again for your insight and efforts in supporting my guitar collection. Consistent great customer service at Sweetwater, consistent great instruments from Taylor, what more could a guitarist want.

One of a kind

I have several guitars. Including many Taylor guitars. Taylor KOA T5 limited edition, Taylor 814ce, Taylor 818e, Baby Taylor and several other guitars. What I was looking for was something unique that would allow a visually enhanced aura, that would accompany the playing of the guitar. The K22ce does that it is beautiful and it sounds great. I have heard that KOA guitars have a tendency to have an each to their own sound. I have not have not had that experience. I have two KOA and they both sound great. The K22ce is perfect for finger picking. Its small frame allows you to caress the guitar and the new sound system Taylor has installed make it well worth the money. To me it is easily as worthy of praise as the Taylor 814 series.
