    An excellent polite fuzz!

I own the mini version and it is an excellent pedal. Perfect size for pedalboards and a standard 9V power socket.
The important part is how it sounds. It just sounds amazing with my 2012 les paul standard. The best fuzz i have ever owned! This might be because i mainly play Blues and some Rock music but for extreme fuzz sounds, just look somewhere else. It is a fuzz for the traditional players with medium gain at maximum fuzz and volume.

    Fuzz made for Humbuckers!!!

I have been a fuzz fan forever! Listening to some of my favorite players makes want more fuzz..(Jimmy Page, Joe Bonamassa, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Duane Allman). I use a Gibson SG and hopefully soon will get a Les Paul. I've used Silicon equipped fuzz pedal with my SG and it sounds great! BUT it can get a little TOO muddy (Silicon transistors are more edgy and louder than GERMANIUM)! And it really does not sound all that good with muddy tone. Then I finally was able to try Germanium equipped fuzz pedals and WOW! Cream goodness with that vintage tone of a classic 60s fuzz. Now where the humbuckers come into play...the germanium transistors work VERY WELL with humbuckers. I doesn't get to harsh even when you CRANK EVERYTHING UP!! Now the only down side which i will mention is that GERMANIUM FUZZ FACES OR ANY GERMANIUM EQUIPPED FUZZ PEDALS CHANGE THROUGH TEMPERATURE CHANGES! Now thats not a BAD thing...what changes (at least through my ear) is that when is cold or air conditioned room, the fuzz is probably at its best sound, not too trebley and not too bassy...when its hot weather for an outside gig, the tone can get slightly bassy...but through your EQ section of your amp you can fix that.

ALL IN ALL: I'd recommend this pedal to any musician who prefers humbuckers! (You still can use it with strats/single coils but thats what the jimi hendrix fuzz face is for)

    Fuzz Face for Humbuckers

I bought this pedal to add a little "warm fuzz" to my signal path to get me a little closer to the Eric Johnson / Joe Bonamassa tones we love so much. I works really well with humbuckers as it's promoted to do, but the flip side is that it's almost too weak for the single coils on my Stratocaster. I have tried the Eric Johnson model and it's almost too much and requires a good touch to dial it in on single coils and I felt it was way to much for humbuckers, hence my selection. Overall it's a good pedal as long as you know what it's designed to do, IMO.

The sound I was looking for-

This fuzz has a very pleasing sound with humbucking pickups. It cleans up nicely when you roll back the guitar volume control. I had a fuzz face in 1969 and, as well as I can remember, this fuzz sounds just as good or better.
