I upgraded to this bass from an American Standard jazz. I wasn't sure what made this bass worth $1000+ more and was hesitant at first, but it was worth every bit of the money in my opinion. The neck is so much better perfect action no fret buzz. the pickups seem to have a lot more punch a lot better low end but still getting those great minds and highs jazz basses offer. It's a really sweet bass and sweetwater is easy to deal with great service all the way

I will say, I was a little hesitant about buying this bass in the beginning, because of the price. The pictures looked nice, sounded great on YouTube,....long story short, bass is and sounds truly amazing. I did have a few concerns with mine, and seems another person here had the same issue.

I also had an issue with my bridge; wouldn't hold tune, strings kept dropping, the bridge was stripped.

Another concern was the clear finish underneath my string posts (headstock). It appears they didn't allow for the finish to harden, or dry, and caused the excess finish to create a bubble when they tightened the posts.

I really do love the bass, sounds amazing, pictures don't do it justice, but for the price, they should have paid a little more attention to detail (imo).

The bubble is still there, and I had to buy another bridge.

Other than that, Sweetwater is always amazing, just surprised I wasn't sent another bridge (since it wasn't my fault, and I've bought several basses from them).

Feels real nice but there is a problem with the bridge. this is the second jazz they sent me for the same reason that the first jazz bridge loosens up where the strings lay upon. Both the lower and rear screws on the d and g string one one and the a snd d string on the other after playing it for several weeks. I got the present one at a luthiers waiting for the judgement on why the screws are loosening on a couple of strings. Not worth the money I paid. I 've got 8 bass guitars and never had a problem like this. My Jap P bass has no problem. Why does the American Jazz. Someone from Fender should research this further if they are going to stand behind their guitars and basses.
