    Love this guitar!

I've always thought that Fender's offset guitars just looked awesome. When I picked this up, it was a whim of a purchase, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. When I got it, it was love at first strum. The controls allow you to dial in any tone imaginable (or so it seems). The stock pickups were amazing. I was actually amazed by how impressed I was by the stock pickups, but I have to have my Seymour Duncans in any guitar I have. When I swapped the pickups to the SD Hot Rodded Set, I knew I never wanted another electric in my hands. The neck feels so natural to play on it's almost like the guitar was made just for me and I love the shorter scale feel. I've read that some people are nervous when it comes to the short scale but I actually prefer it now over my Strat. I haven't found one thing bad about this guitar to date and I doubt I ever will. One minor thing is that if you play a heavier gauge in strings like I do, the nut may need to be filed, but that's so minuscule that I would never knock it for that. If you're looking for a fantastic offset guitar that can really rock, I can't recommend this guitar enough!

    Wonderful Jaguar

I received the CP Jaguar Special HH in the 3-color sunburst recently, and couldn't be happier with it. This is my first Fender Jaguar, and have wanted one for several years. I was considering the Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar, but the CP Jaguar Special HH was a better fit for my budget. A friend of mine got the CP Jazzmaster a while back, and I love the build quality of that guitar, so the CP Jaguar has been on my short list for quite some time. After ordering it and getting a chance to play it for several days now, I can say that I made a very good decision.
The CP Special HH is very well made, and the fit and finish are flawless. The tonal options you can dial in are almost limitless, and this guitar can cover just about any style of music you desire. The short scale was somewhat of a concern for me at first, but after playing the guitar for about an hour, I could barely notice the difference between the scale length compared to my other guitars. In fact, it's perfect for my short, stubby fingers, and is probably the most comfortable neck I've ever played. If you're concerned about the fact that this guitar is made in Mexico, put your concerns to rest. I've owned many high-quality guitars that were made in the USA, and this is on the top of my list of my all-time favorite guitars. I look forward to many happy days playing it.
I also want to express my gratitude for the excellent customer service that I continue to receive from my Sweetwater salesman, Brad Moline. Brad consistently provides superb customer service and has always treated me really well when I have ordered merchandise from Sweetwater. Sweetwater is my favorite music retailer, and I would never consider ordering musical gear from anyone else in the business.

    An Overlooked Gem

I was looking for a shorter scale electric. While this is not your typical Jaguar but it is a short scale like Jaguars. I hate when people name equipment to say look what I have and I won't. I currently have seven electric guitars one is the Jaguar Special HH. So I have an idea what sounds good to me. I really like this Jaguar Special HH. Beside the ease of a multi- fret stretch, the sounds are great. The various controls (while not the typical Jaguar) allow the pickups to be single or humbuckers. Rather than describe the sound with words, I suggest going to a music store and trying one through a store amp like you have at home. Check out all the various setting of the switches. Don't forget the tremolo bar. Try the stretch from the intro from Jethro Tull "Nothing to Say". Then order one from Sweetwater. The setup from Sweetwater is great. Shipping is fast. The Enforcer humbuckers are great. A nice guitar to play for short fat fingers like mine. Remember if you use pedals that is not the sound of the guitar through an amp but the sound of the guitar through a pedal through an amp. The same is true of amps with built in FX.
