Fender Modern Player Jaguar
Excellent service and value in this purchase. Quality of this foreign made guitar is above expectation. Great sound and feel, do not hesitate to pick this one up for a beginner or experienced player.
Amazing.
So this bass is everything I expected thanks to the prior reviews. Amazing feel, amazing sound, and even better price! The only thing I upgraded was the pickguard, only because I've never been a huge fan of the black with white pickguard. Literally the best bass for the money on the market. Only reason why I keep it secret is because I love it so much and don't know anyone who has this bass. But if your thinking about buying it, do it. Thank me later.

Affordable and Playable First Bass
Really pleased with this purchase. It's a little strange buying an instrument online without playing it first - and I'm not sure I would with a truly expensive item - but I needed a beginner's bass that was going to be playable and I figured this would work. I wasn't disappointed. Sweetwater deliver. The shipping was quick, the packaging was robust and it was clear that the instrument had been checked out before shipping. The online description was completely accurate. As for the bass itself - it's got a great feel, the action makes it really playable and the tone is all you'd want in an instrument that - for me - is primarily for learning. It will be interesting to hear it through a full rig - but for now that's not a priority. Experience told me that buying a "cheap" instrument to learn on is never a good idea and makes the whole journey harder. This is a moderately priced instrument - and it's doing the job well. Pretty to look at too!
Beauty that plays like a beast
As expected with most any Fender instrument, fit and finish are superb. The bass is light, but still has some substance to it. The gloss finish on the neck took a bit of getting used to (my others are all satin), but plays very smoothly. The neck is the same width as a Jazz Bass, but a shade thicker front-to-back. The individual pickups give the punchy P-Bass tone or trebly J-bass tone, respectively, and sound remarkably clean and punchy when used together. The neck and tuners are rock-solid, and the bridge is similar to a Gotoh 201, but with brass saddles definitely adding to the low-end response. All in all, I can't imagine getting more instrument for the money.
