Amazing

As the owner of 30-ish guitars...with even more having been sold/traded over the years...I'm not easily "wowed" by a guitar. Indeed, I do love 'em and one doesn't amass a large collection by accident... But I generally purchase a guitar with a specific sound/vibe in mind...This one was slightly different...I got it because I ordered a Helix at the same time. (Both from Sweetwater) Not really knowing what to expect... Wow! Before exploring the features, I was just really impressed by it. Fit & finish are flawless and it plays much better than the price might suggest. To say I was pleased is an understatement. OK...but there are quite a few decent guitars in that price range...time to put it through it's paces. I was dumbfounded. The ability to switch from a Strat, to a LP, to a 12-string, to an acoustic...without any more effort than turning a knob... Amazing. Throw in a bunch of alternate tunings and it's the dream guitar for a lot of cover bands. Or one guy in a coffee house...it will cover all the bases. Couple it with a Helix and quite a few of my guitars may need new homes. Does it sound EXACTLY like a Martin, or a Rickenbacker, or a Les Paul, or Telecaster, or a ..? You get the point. Perhaps not EXACTLY, but then different instruments can sometimes sound slightly different as well... BUT, the models are incredible...and seriously close enough that most people won't know, or care, that it's not the "real" thing. AND, it means I can carry one guitar instead of three or four. That's a plus.
