Compound-radius = the best of both worlds

The Jackson JS32TQ Dinky sports a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard with jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius thet keeps things nice and confortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs with monumental string bends without fretting out. The best of both worlds.

Maple neck and strings-thru-body tailpiece = prodigious sustain

From bow to stern, the Jackson JS32TQ Dinky is set up for mammoth sustain. You get a maple speed neck - one of the hardest tonewoods around - and a strings-thru-body tailpiece. Top that off with two attitude-laden high-output Jackson humbuckers with ceramic magnets, and you've got a recipe for serious sustain.

Worth EVERY Penny ! and THEN some !!!

The short version, if you're considering this axe, buy it. I have the black model and it's beautiful. Ok, so I love the guitar, and here's why. For under 300 bucks I have perfect fret edges. The correct angled edge, nothing sharp ANYWHERE, and the slightly wider neck with a compound radius just offers something standard Strats, Les Paul, SG and most other styles of guitars in the everyday line up just can't compete with. Feel on this guitar is a solid 10 of 10. There are no finish flaws anywhere, close exams show great quality control from Jackson. Tuners are nice and smooth and after the first 5 days or so seem to be doing great at holding tune and making alternate tuning an easy change. I will say that I purchased this particular model to avoid the Floyd. And it's a move that paid off. My higher end amps let this axe sustain for noticeably longer than most of my others. Plus I just wanted easy tuning changes. The switch is very nice, very smooth and feels like a quality switch. I would say the pots are pretty good. They are clean with no scratch or dirt and well within the price point for this guitar. The pups are very nice at controlled volumes or with a little or even a fair amount of distortion. I typically use a cleanish sound with just a little dirt and break up and they sound Very good in my rig. As far as hair band tunes, they more than get the job done. Upgrades ? Tuners don't need an upgrade, they work great and the black looks nice. The pups ? Someday I can imagine a pup and pot upgrade but I'm in no hurry. The stock guitar is good enough to gig, for sure good enough to have fun or enter the " Hair Band " guitar world. I bought it to try 80's stuff but I have to say I was truly surprised by how good it sounds clean and how rediculously easy it is to play, both chords and scales. Not to mention mine is 6 pounds 3 ounces. With a home studio full of toys, this became my go to axe for practice, noodling and just goofing off while in the recliner and watching tv. I would replace it in a minute if something happened to it. One more note, I had Sweetwater put new strings on it and do a FULL setup, after the 55 point inspection. I was THRILLED with the set up. I worked with Mark Chapman and he always, ALWAYS makes sure it's a great experience from start to finish. I've bought many items from Sweetwater and Mark knows my studio and what's in it. He understands me musically as well as why I'm a musician. Can you say that about your " guy " at the music store down the street ??? I know I CAN'T, and that's why I buy ALL my gear from Sweetwater. Thanks again for a wonderful instrument and a phenomenal experience !

Jackson JS32TQ Dinky

This was my first major purchase from Sweetwater. I usually just ordered strings a little things, so I was a little hesitant at first. Ordered the guitar and had it in 2 days. It was packaged very nicely and securely. When I opened the box, I was blown away. The pictures just don't do it justice. The finish is absolutely beautiful. It was playable right out of the box (thanks Sweetwater for the great setup). The only thing it needed was a small tuning. The tuners keep tune really nicely. The pickups really surprised me. I bought this, thinking I was gonna change the pups out for a set of James Hetfield EMGs, but these pickups are actually really good. The neck is real smooth and plays fast. This would easily be a great beginner guitar, or a good guitar for a more intermediate to professional level player as well. Thanks Sweetwater for getting it to me fast and setting it up nicely. Definitely gonna order more from Sweetwater!

Amazing Guitar!

Great guitar for the price! Plays and sounds way better than guitars two to three times as much. Looks way better in person as well.

Guitar arrived quickly however it took a guitar professional a half hour to rework inside and file down a fret as the one string made n sound at all on arrival. Probably not sweet waters fault but Jackson factory themselves for low QC
