Jackson JS32 Dinky - Pavo Purple Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar with Poplar Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Vibrato Tailpiece - Pavo Purple

The Jackson JS32 Dinky solidbody electric guitar conveys instant attitude both sonically and visually. The amazingly affordable JS32 Dinky serves up thick, snarling tone and prodigious sustain, courtesy of its resonant, lightweight poplar body, arched top, and two high-output humbuckers. You'll appreciate the smooth playability of the maple speed neck. And the fully bound compound-radius fretboard is great for chording down low, and bending up high without fretting out. A real Floyd Rose licensed double-locking tremolo bridge completes the package, making the Jackson JS32 Dinky a guitar any serious player can love.

I love this guitar. It is light and plays awesome. Love the Jackson Floyd rose. Played for days and never went out of tune. I had them set this guitar up and they did an amazing job of exactly how I wanted it. Worth the extra money

Excellent Guitar For The Price Point

By Max from North Carolina on September 19, 2018

The playability is outstanding. This guitar would be a dream for any person learning guitar due to the low string action. There is obvious precision crafting here that far exceeds the price. The Jackson pickups sound very good (moderately powerful yet clean articulation), the color/finish is top notch, and the Jackson holds tune quite well. Without any hesitation, would recommend this guitar.

The best necks

By Yabs from Oregon on September 6, 2018 Music Background: Hobbyist

I had one of these in the non tremolo. What i liked right off the bat is the neck and fret size . Perfect . Neck not too thin , not too fat . Width not too wide like some guitars say 43 but are closer to 44mm. This is just under 43mm at the nut . When i got that NT guitar i had to file the 3rd fret because of buzz . It was fine after that . The frets are jumbo but not too tall . Anyway i sold it and bought the floyd version . Just as good but with a floyd . Its the purple one. The finish is stunning .

The guitar played better than the NT out of the box ! The only drawbacks are the pickups are weak if you want higher gain rock/metal . They are great for classic rock/metal . Great bite and clarity , but i like more output . May put a Steve vai model pup like Evolution or Dark matter in the bridge. Also the trem is a FR special . Not too bad but the nut i will replace because special nuts are cheap alloy and thats where your strings will slip.

Even stock its one heck of a deal for a new guitarist or a broke experienced guitarist like me .

Again the neck is sooo user friendly . Try it !

ROCKING A DINKY Js32

By Ian from Las Vegas on July 22, 2018

I realy like this guitar ,love the color its metallic finish stands out perfectly, the sound is great, skooth clear and rocks with high gain or clean,, why only 4.5, well the wammy bar is a little slimmer and smaller than I like n the tune n vol. knobs are small and feel fradgile.. but small beans , the rest of my new toy is one of the best guitars ive owned, the price is good as well , if I had ten grand to spend I might by an EVH, and put it behind glass.. I like to play and rock this guitar dose just that. love it...………………………….IAN B K.

Great!

Bought for my wife to learn on. I've been playing for 25-30 years myself and didn't want to get her the usual difficult-to-tune, difficult-to-play, cheapo "beginner" guitar. This seemed like a good guitar to learn on and yet be high enough quality that it would still be suitable as her skills improve. My hunch was right -- this is a good buy.

The 12" radius at the nut splits the difference between a 9" Strat and a 15" RG (my wife much preferred the feel of the RG over the Strat at the local music store) and is pretty comfortable. The locking trem keeps things in tune (on the occasion she lets me play it). The pickups have a bright sound to them. And the sculpted body (I'm talking about the guitar) is a nice bonus.

The -1/2 star is for the output level of the pickups. A little weak, but that seems to be a Jackson trademark, even on their mid-priced guitars. That's what made me an RG guy 20 years ago... felt like I was getting more "bang for the buck" with an RG. But this Jackson is, overall, a veny nice guitar that I can see my wife "growing into" for years to come.

P.S. -- Received well-packed and good setup job!
