Experience Jackson Speed and Fury

The Jackson JS22 Dinky solidbody electric guitar was made to create sonic mayhem. The amazingly affordable JS22 Dinky serves up massive tone and killer sustain courtesy of its arched basswood body, tremolo tailpiece, and two high-output ceramic humbuckers. You'll appreciate the playability of the maple speed neck and fat-fretted, compound-radius rosewood fingerboard that allows you to transition more easily between rhythm and lead playing. Whether it's your first electric guitar or you're simply looking for a great value, you'll be impressed with the Jackson JS22 Dinky.

Jackson high-output pickups deliver aggressive tone

Looking for rock-solid metal tone? The Jackson JS22 Dinky delivers. That's because Jackson equips the JS22 Dinky with a pair of their custom-built ceramic-magnet humbuckers. These high-output humbuckers give you plenty of punch and serious bite whether you're plugging into a tube amp or using amp modeling. We've played a lot of guitars at Sweetwater, and we're impressed with the bang for your buck the JS22 Dinky offers.

Compound-radius fretboard delivers maximum playing comfort and performance

The JS22 Dinky features a 12"-16" compound-radius fretboard for ultimate playability. This bound rosewood fingerboard (complete with classic Jackson shark fin inlays) is rounder near the nut for easy rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the JS22 Dinky's fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you'll be up at the 24th fret before you know it.

Classic Jackson looks and attitude

If you're after a guitar that looks as mean as it sounds, the Dinky body shape alone is enough to convey instant attitude. Factor in the arched top, Jackson's distinctive headstock, black hardware, and shark fin inlays, and you've got one confrontational-looking guitar.

Jackson JS22 Dinky Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • A high-performance guitar for an amazingly low price
  • Lightweight and resonant basswood Dinky body conveys instant attitude
  • Dual Jackson custom humbuckers with ceramic magnets deliver hard-hitting high-gain tone
  • Compound-radius rosewood fingerboard feels great for rhythm and lead playing
  • Fretboard binding for a smoother playing feel
  • Slender graphite-reinforced maple neck plays fast and smooth
  • 2-point tremolo tailpiece for maximum expressive potential

Great customer service with perfect setup

First of all I absent mindlessly ordered the 7 string but when i contacted customer service they had no problem switching it out for the 6 string. The set up on this guitar couldn't have been better. I'm an old dog trying to learn a new trick but this guitar was set up perfect right out of the box. Even being a new player I rarely get any string buzz and learning the fret board is fairly easy. Great job guys/Gals my trust is with you.

Amazing Inexpensive Guitar

I have been playing guitar for over 32 years. My main guitars are a Fender Strat and Fender Tele, but I've owned almost every major brand over the years. I'm simply amazed at the quality of such an inexpensive guitar. I bought this with the intent that my 12 year old son would play it, but I fully intend to play it myself as well. The setup was almost perfect out of the box (neck relief, string height, pickup height were perfect, and the intonation only needed minor adjustment). The guitar stays in tune fine, and the pickups surprisingly sound pretty nice. I don't feel the need to replace anything right now. Fit and finish are excellent as well - the satin black makes the guitar look more classy and professional. I would definitely buy again and recommend to others. Not to mention the excellent service that Sweetwater provides. Thanks, Sweetwater!

Great guitar

This is a really fun guitar to play. It is a good place to start for a new player and a good platform for a long time player. This guitar may have been designed with the intention of being used for metal but it can do so much more. I use this guitar to learn new songs because it is so easy for me to play.

I don't know how they sell em this cheap!

In the last 10 years or so the quality:price ratio on inexpensive(sub-$600) guitars has gone up exponentially, meaning that a guitar at this price point like this Jackson JS22 Dinky is absolutely heads & shoulders above a similarly-priced instrument not so long ago. I ordered my guitar and it arrived on my doorstep a mere TWO days later! (FREE shipping!!!!) It was in fact triple-boxed, so it arrived in perfect condition. The fretwork is very good - not SUPERB - but very good, especially again considering the price paid. The intonation was spot-on & the action was fine, all it needed was a quick tuning and it was time to riff out! The pickups, which I had heard were a particular weak point of this level of Jackson guitar, were, surprisingly, perfectly acceptable. I did not, nor do I now, feel the need to immediately rip them out and buy new ones. I may in the future, but as of now, they are just fine. The pictures on the web make it seem more of a grey color, and I am usually NOT a fan of satin finishes, except in the case of wood grain finishes, but upon arrival, I was thrilled to see it was a deep, flat black... the metalhead in me approves! Another thing I noticed is that the fretboard was NOT as dry as a bone, which is often the case with lower-teir instruments, usually needing a treatment of lemon oil post-haste. The factory strings are suitable as well, which are usually the first thing to go... I am VERY happy with my purchase. My sales rep Andy Rice called me to let me know that everything was in order and to thank me for my patronage. Hands down, Sweetwater has the BEST customer service of any music gear merchant PERIOD.
