Take command of your tone

The Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty makes you a master of the tonal universe. Its comfortable, contoured body consists of a mahogany neck-through design with basswood wings that's topped with a maple cap - a unique tone cocktail that gives you wonderful warmth and resonance you don't expect in a solidbody, along with massive sustain. Another unique aspect of the Majesty is its laser-etched maple cap. Not only is it etched in the shape of a shield, but it resembles the cool look of carbon fiber.

The sounds you need for any style of music

Two DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers - designed by DiMarzio and Petrucci - serve up a universe of tone that takes the Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty from chimey cleans through a wide range of delectable crunch, all the way to fearsome, face-melting shred. But there's more: a custom piezo floating vibrato bridge lets you engage in vigorous whammy action with absolute tuning stability, while giving you access to a range of gorgeous, nuanced acoustic sounds. Tonally speaking, there's very little this exquisite axe can't do for you. The guitar experts at Sweetwater love an instrument with tons of tonal flexibility, and the Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty is sure to please.

Floating piezo tremolo and Schaller locking tuners for perfect pitch

The custom John Petrucci Ernie Ball Music Man Piezo floating tremolo is constructed of chrome-plated hardened steel with bent steel saddles. With the flick of a switch you'll be able to get great-sounding acoustic tones from your John Petrucci Majesty, making this one of the most versatile guitars in your collection. The headstock is adorned with Schaller M6 locking tuners that make string changing a cinch. Just insert the string, tighten the clamp screw, and tune it up to pitch. Strings won't be wound around the shaft so your tuning will be reliable, no matter how hard you play.

Truly Majestic

When this guitar was first announced, I was iffy about the aesthetics. It was a strange looking guitar but as time went on it grew on me. I finally purchased this guitar for myself about a week ago and have been blown away by every aspect of it. Given my love for chameleon paint and purple, I went with Arctic Dream which beautifully resembles the northern lights. Aesthetically, the guitar is gorgeous. It has a beautiful cut of ebony wood with a mesmerizing grain to it as the fretboard with some beautiful mirror inlays. The body shape, while a bit odd at first glance, offers a new level of comfort I've never felt on guitars before. It feels perfect sitting down or standing up and is incredibly light even in the case. No breaking your back playing one of these for 3+ hours. The neck is super thin and perfect for shredding. The access is unbelievable. There's nothing else like it out there. The peizo gives the guitar increased versatility by offering acoustic electric style tones. The boost is one feature I rarely use unless I'm just goofing off, but it does pack a hefty punch so if you're in need of a boost, this guitar has it built in. The pickups offer incredible power and clarity. It was easy to get an amazing tone out of this guitar just by plugging up to my Mesa Dual Rectifier with my previous settings. The 7th string is easy to manage tone-wise. There's plenty of power and clarity. I've experienced no muddiness from this guitar and extended chords just sound massive. This guitar can handle just about anything you throw at it. It's an incredible, versatile, monster of an instrument. If you haven't already, check one out in a local store or at a Music Man both at an event. I have pondered for hours about what I would change about this guitar and have come up blank. To me, this instrument is pure perfection and it has rekindled my joy of playing guitar.
Music background: Progressive and classical guitar

Dreamy to play

This guitar does not feel cumbersome like most 7 strings. Everything about this guitar feels fast. It packs the most amazing/versatile tone of any guitar I've ever played. It's rich and full sounding yet it's never muddy. It sounds like a guitar weighing twice as much. It stays in tune really well. The finish on the bridge is wearing away quickly and I have had trouble with the input jack, but both of those things are probably my fault.

Majesty 7

I bought this as soon as it was announced and my good friends at Sweetwater were always helpful with me to get it. This guitar features a radical change in the looks of the JP signature guitars and amazingly all work in favor of ergonomics. The sound of the guitar is very similar to the JP13 and the original JP6 as it features a basswood body and mahogany through neck this time. The combination of woods and the Illuminator pickups create a very balanced sound (defined bass, present mids and controlled highs) and it sounds great in clean, lead, rhythm, piezo, etc. No matter what combination you try this guitar delivers always. I don't really use the preamp boost but it's a nice addition anyways. This guitar is very hard to get out of tune and the intonation is perfect (when set right). If you are looking for that signature John Petrucci tone look no further and if you can get your hands on a Mesa Boogie Mark amp then you are set to go.Pros+ A very light guitar (weight)+ Extremely comfortable+ Great sound+ FeaturesCons- Needs a battery always (not just for the piezo)- The matte finish wears off in time (wherever you rest your arms or frequent touch)
