Great guitar, not great adjustment

The neck feels great(maybe little bit wide for my hand, but that's fine). I love the finish of the neck too. The freat is like silk. The fret edge is treated nicely, not like some cheap Ibz with the razor sharp fret edge. The acoustic sound of it is amazing, loud and bright, I can feel the vibration of it. However, the set up of this guitar is not good. The set up is a very personal thing, maybe someone will like the initial adjustment of this guitar, but not me.The string action is very high, from top to bottom. It should be a shredding machine, however I can't shred with that kind of string action. One of the tuning machine is kind of loose, I fixed it by my self, not a big issue but pretty annoying. Also the pickup is set high as h*** (almost attach to the string). It's an active pickup with huge output, I just don't get the point of set the pickup that high. Personaly, I don't like the string that comes with it, so I changed the string to Ernieball 10-62 (A# standard tuning) and reset the guitar. The pickup is great for any metal, but kind of too hot for djent stuff(I'm ok with that). Overall, I love this guitar a lot. I always love schecter, stable and beautiful instrument with great price. I had a LTD aw7 and I sold it for fix my car, I also ordered a Kiesel DC7X and I returned it on the seconed day I got it in hand. I played my friend's mayones 7 strings, Ibanez 7 strings. I also tried out KM-7 in the shop 6 mounth ago. The JL-7 is the best 7 string guitar for me, at least for now.
