Blown Away

Got my Geddy Lee today with a little bit of trepidation in the back of my mind. Had read a lot of misinformation regarding the neck thickness. Many were saying the profile had changed to match the USA Geddy Lee Jazz. Not the case. This bass still has that wonderfully thin neck. I love the fact that Sweetwater takes the time to photograph each guitar, so that you have a better idea of what you're getting. I picked out an awesome one! The laser grain is just about perfect. Fit and finish is absolutely fabulous. I was going to hold out for a used Japanese GL, but I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this one. It was perfectly playable right out of the box, too! I installed a fresh set of Rotosound Swingbass 66's and this bass is ready to go. Big thank you to Sweetwater and Chris Sonia!

very good

I have owned two mia jazz basses my opinion is that this particular bass is as good, fit, finish very good.playablity, great tone with the pups that come with it.built just like a 72 j bass.the neck is the main reason I purchased this instrument the rest was a suprising bonus. the fender plant in mexico did this one right.the one thing I dont care about are geddy lee autographs on it.other than that its very good.

Amazing bass, Awesome service!

I spent several months stalking this bass online reading every review and video posted. Although I had played the U.S.A. version at a local shop (which is also an amazing instrument) I had to go by what I had read and what my Sweetwater engineer told me. After pulling the trigger, I am not at all disappointed! This thing plays like a dream, the neck is super fast, and right out of the box it had that Geddy Lee growl Rush fans know and love. If you want an incredible bass that is almost $700 cheaper than the U.S.A. counterpart, just go for it! I doubt you'll have any regrets. And thanks Sweetwater, you have a new loyal and satisfied customer!

Do Not Hesitate To Buy A MIM Geddy Lee

I read a lot about bass guitars. I have a Squire by Fender Short Scale, but wanted something more serious. I heard and read in forums about the lack of quality or perceived lack of quality of Fender Basses made in Japan and Mexico versus America. This is what I can tell you and this is my experience. I love this Geddy Lee guitar. It's everything I was hoping for. It's beautiful, sounds great, great hardware, fit and finish. It couldn't come set up more perfect. My sales engineer Mark Stein told me to trust the quality. The guitar has exceeded my expectations (which are very high) in every way. I would not hesitate to buy another one. They're gorgeous instruments.
